We need Brown to keep our midfield ticking over, and also gives us energy tracking back helping defenders and also helps the midfield, may not be the best footballer, but we need him in our team.

Just seems like mega trolling. Kris Commons from the moment he has joined onwards has scored more goals than anybody in our team that is his job though, he's there to hit that side of the pitch and wander about comfortably knowing that he has three players clever enough behind him to fill in the role of having three in the middle.

So we keep solid and don't get caught on the counter attack, Commons is practically deployed as a third striker for us.

Scott Brown is the balancing act on the other side of midfield; it's the full reason when Broony needed to get moved into the middle Mulgrew went to the left and Commons done that job on the right.

They play completly different roles; can you not see that?

As soon as we had our two wingers playing like that (Maloney and Forrest) we got beat of ICT because they swamped the midfield and Brown and Kayal were hopelessly outnumbered.

That's the same reason Tony Mowbray failed miserably. No balance.

Now your criticism of Scott Brown, if he is so bad how come every single time he isn't on the pitch we play awful? More often than not draw or lose?

I'm telling you that Brown's role in the team is not to score goals, more often than not this season when we have played 2 wingers we have dropped points including the 3 home draws where Lennon's 4-2-4 was quickly abandoned.

Do you really not understand the difference between Commons and Brown because they play in similar areas of the pitch? Would you say that every striker is the same becuase they all play up front? Of course not, McDonald and JVofHesselink were both strikers but played extremely different games but they worked well together precisely because they were different.

thats a ridiculous and ,frankly childish comparison-hoopers a better striker than maldini ever was-whats your point?:56:i love how emotional people get about our beloved captain.so kris commons has scored the same amount of league goals in half a season-and only cost 300 000?paddy mccourt was what-50 grand?he must be near browns total-why dont we sell the goal shy fraud and sign ten mccourt types?more goals more points-and point win prizes:56:

Somehow, just somehow, I don't think we'd win anything with "ten McCourt types".

If Scott Brown let his contract run down there would be premier league clubs lining up to sign him, he is in the same kind of player as a scott parker and Gattuso. He does as much running on a football park as any player i have ever seen, Unless you are Barcelona you need players like scott brown in your team.

He had a better season last season, but over 4 years he has been nothing short of disappointing (I know he had personal problems). We pay this guy a fortune and guys like kayal must be wondering what for? He is captain of Celtic and can't talk properly in an interview, which is embarrassing.

Aside from all the do the broony funny stuff (diouf had the last laugh with the CIs cup and the league lest we forget) this is not the behaviour of a Celtic captain, he gets himself booked out of utter incompetence.

If anyone offered us six million then he should be sold the same way we sold Aiden for money we couldn't refuse

If it is a straight choice between brown or kayal, be truthful, whom would you rather have?

If brown played the way he did in a few games last season more often then he is worth keeping, but six million for him is a lot of money to ignore for him

If Brown played like he did in Jan/February he would be one of our best players. Gives a great balance playing as a right sided midfielder, not a winger.

scott brown playing for celtic-to me its like a junkie dating your daughter-you can warn against it-you can voice your displeasure-you can threaten to shut them out of your life-but,ultimately theres very little you can do to prevent it.you know its going to go * up-its like watching a car crash in slow motion
