I like Broony and admire his will to get stuck in when things get physical, something we will need on 28th for sure.

Yes his passing needs to be better but you could say the same thing about just every player. Even the ones known for good passing have had rotten games for us this season and cost us goals, but they don't seem to get the same amount of ridicule Brown does.

yes that is an example there devlin, i was focusing more on what happened today. Yet 1 or 2 examples for a player who we have invested almost 10 million pounds into is simply not enough.

Thing is there is plenty of examples like that, he made an excellent through ball in last years cup final to Kris Commons who missed a sitter. 2 massive games, a cup final and an Old Firm match. Broony is the kind who can get us wins, he's a winner.

Today his passing was awful but I've pointed this out a lot on here, Broony's passing and first touch is the things that takes a while to get back up to scratch when he is playing just back from injury or when he is playing through the pain barrier.

People always seem to forget the many, many good things that he has done while in a Celtic strip. They are very quick to critcise. Sometimes I just don't know why, he wasn't particulary good today but he wasn't all that bad either.

When he plays out of his skin people seem to ignore it, see the second post of this thread. Never done anything in a Celtic strip? He won player of the year in a Celtic strip. That isn't done by doing nothing in a Celtic strip.

Go through the posts on here last year and people were declaring that his best season yet, the year before people were saying he was the only player who could hold his head up high by the way he was playng under Tony Mowbray and that was when he was injured most of the time.

He isn't a Lubo Moravcik or John Collin but he brings steel, desire and energy to our starting eleven. Something that we have been lacking in his absence this year, until Victor Wanyama stood up and Kayal started getting his * in gear.

You compared their medal counts, daft considering Forrests age.

No one has compared him to messi as far as I know.
He would start for every team in the spl, he may not be a ball winner but different players have different roles in the team. If we had a midfield of kayal wanyama brown and Ledley we would have no pace or creativity.

Why not - given that our one league victory against Rangers at Ibrox last year came when Brown was thankfully suspended?

Why he is at a top team in the SPL he was described as fantastic ...where as the other two mentioned were journeymen & were not at Celtic very long

No one has compared him to messi....it was stated he was fantastic

I would say Jinky,Messi , Henderson ....ect were FANTASTIC

Could just be me, I'm pretty tired but I can't understand most of your post.
Agathe was at Celtic for 5 odd years , hardly a journeyman

Brown was a very important player for us last season out on the right. It's a shame he's been injured this season although it has to be said that we've not done too badly without him at all.

Our team goes as Forrest goes, without him we have no pace in the team. Today he had a poor first half and we looked dire, in the second half he was great and we looked fantastic, he's the only player in the team with the ability to run at a defense at pace and it is vital to have someone who can unsettle a defense like that. Brown simply isn't as good as Forrest in wide areas, he was decent last year but nothing like forrest has been this year.

We've started to do not too badly without him, when he first got injured it took as a long time to adapt to his presence not being there. The introduction of Wanyama and Kayal getting his finger out has covered for his injury.

We play better and dominate games with the skipper in the team. Simple as that.
