Looked like the players couldnt implement his plan which was all about quick ball movement.

Could not beat the low block.

Feel like the money should have been spent on a couple of 7 mil players already, not projects.

Feel like still should have beaten killie anyway. Or not lost. Kyogo coming deeper fine, a few nice passes, but we did not threaten once today.

Got it wrong. The plan was wrong. It didnt work and the players couldnt create goal scoring chances.

The fact he said we needed physicality while having Kwon sitting on the bench has me worried.

If we don't get the signings until deadline day, we might very well lose at Ibrox (just a few days later) and that will be on the board not Rodgers.

I mean that's obviously all just conjecture so who knows how Ange would have done on that pitch with those players, but what I can say is - in regards to judging Rodgers' team once it's been built - I will do that, of course. But you don't have to wait until a team is fully built to see how a coach is getting their ideas across. Indications become apparent early doors. It's not as simple as wins and losses, with Ange I think we all agreed that over those first 6 games - even though we lost half of them - there was a clear emerging identity of unbelievable football. It's why the mood in the support was so good despite the results.

I don't see that identity yet with Rodgers. That's not me writing him off or saying I won't let him build his team, obviously I will, but it worries me. Coaches can communicate their ideas and implement them even without "their" players, and right now I'm not really seeing that. If anything, the changes have made us worse. Can't abide these long * punts up the park.

I didn't want him but he's here now, so you've got to back him (apols to some of you for this next quote lol..hey I'm south London Irish...errr...living in Inverness now :) but as Millwall say 'We're family, we look after our own'...even though I didn't want him, i'll get behind him cos that's what you do innit..also..sometimes a good kick up the * is needed. Also in Japan, we were playing some good attacking football so all is not lost. Onwards..just loosen up on the tippy tappy bollocks please Mr R lol

Is that always the case? I don't think that's always the case at all. Yes, it was with Ange, Klopp, Pep; but it's certainly not always true. Look at Arteta's Arsenal. Look at Ten Haag's Manchester United.

Let's talk about this at the start of October. I'm confident that we'll be a very different animal at that point. I'll happily apologise for doubting you if I'm wrong. In the meantime and until it's clear who's right, isn't it just better to get behind him? Infighting won't achieve anything.

Think as a support we've become slightly spoiled with trebles of late. Before Rodgers himself arrived we had managed what...3 in our entire history?

Sadly days like today happen and people should remember were a regular occurrence season after season under every manager.

It doesn't mean I love losing and that I can't see we need things fixing as I'm one of the biggest drummers on here about certain issues with the squad.

But when you take a step back and allow the dust to settle we will recover. It may be a blessing yet. Who knows. The main thing is we need to back him.and the players.

Hope so, mate, didn't mean to be an argumentative *. Just really * * off about this today, and worried about how things are going. Let's reconvene on Halloween (aye, I'm a writer).

The board better * back him this window or I'll be as angry as you, mate. At the moment, he's being hung out to dry.

It still feels weird having him as our manager, hasn't kicked in yet, and I don't mean that in a Positive or a Negative sense.

He hasn't really stamped his authority on the club yet, just feels like a mess both inside and out.

I think we're lucky that the huns look just as bad with a much worse manager, but we should be aiming much higher than "better than the huns", which has sadly been our benchmark for the last 20 years.

To say the next 11 days are vital is an understatement, will define our season, not signing a proper LB and LW could cost us the league, despite how pish the huns look. Obviously need a GK and midfielder as well, but I think midfielder will be for the January window unfortunately.

Double and some form of progression in Europe would still be a fantastic season, and it's still more than doable.

I agree with @PaddyJamieson, I think Halloween will be the best time to properly look at everything and see where we are. Too many variables currently, although the huns game can change the tide instantly.

I suggested in the match thread, sticking him on up front, as a plan B in injury time, but wasn't even considered. If nothing else, it would have given us more height up there.

Must not look good in training.

    He's not the answer mate.

I said when he signed you can be 6ft 5 and still be lightweight. Bitton served in the IDF and was still a shitebag on a football pitch at times.

It was a * pathetic showing today. Gone against all the things that made us good last season, asking the wrong thing of players to play against their strengths and making changes far to late and then the wrong ones at that.

Let going out of a cup at the first point of asking be the * wake up call and get * sorted. Tahts well below the standards already so buck the * up and either change your way of thinking or get players in that can play the system you want.

There were obvious reasons for Ange's start to be difficult. Not sure any of them apply to Rodgers situation. He's probably had the best position of any manager coming into the Celtic job.

Don't think I've seen this mentioned/suggested yet, but I think the fact the players have been so used to working with Postecoglou they're probably feeling a bit deflated.

Totally different style of play, different management style, thar fear factor has been taken away and BR is now pally pally on the training pitch. It can't be underestimated how drastic a chance it must be.

In Rodgers' first spell, he came into a side to replace a guy who wasn't experienced enough or had a commanding stature, so it was a huge upgrade which the players reacted to in a big way. It's the opposite this time I feel, BR is a top manager but so is AP so it's not as easy to get a positive reaction from the squad.

In short, it's gonna take time to see improvements, time and quality in the door.

Think he needs to move on some of anges players as they don’t want to play for him

It's not so much they don't want to play for him. They know it really * worked the way ange played. That's hard to come in and tell them to play another way and that way will also work. I'm not panicking yet, it'll come but its the usual Rodgers * start.
