We shouldn't have signed them in the first place. They are poor players. Had we spent £5m on each they would still be bad signings because they are bad football players.

I wish more people got this.

More from Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers on the 'sack the board' chants.

"What I do know is, over many years, 'sack the board' usually means 'sack the manager'. It's normally the manager that goes when that starts to be sung," he says.

Basically just handed in his resignation in the post match interview

Our best striker is Maeda by far, he’s wasted on the left. You’ve got Kenny that would do a shift on wing if needed. Idah is a man down.

I said it before, we regress approximately every 5-6 years. This is the declining year. Going to be a long season

He has to take some responsibility when the £25m he spent on Idah, Engels, and Trusty last summer can't make an impact with our squad the way it is.

Fact is: Rodgers' transfer record across his career is utterly abysmal.

Lack of recruitment or not, tactically that was a shambles.

The horseshoe was an issue in his first spell as well. Turgid stuff.

Big problems with the make up of the squad, not only up top but also on both wings.

The Tierney-Maeda link up isn’t working at this stage. Maeda can’t take a man on and Tierney doesn’t have the connection Taylor had to be able to play those timed through balls to release him, which results in Maeda constantly passing it backwards to Tierney and Tierney inevitably crossing it, which has already become predictable.

The Kuhn-Johnston connection added a real dynamism to our attack with Kuhn’s pace and goal threat and Johnston’s over and underlapping. Forrest and Johnston don’t have that and Forrest and Ralston definitely won’t.

The only other option is to play Yang on either side. Enough said about that.

Another problem is playing Idah and Maeda together. It’s just too much of a technical deficit in a system that relies on quick ball movement, with first touches going awry and ball’s bouncing off them half of the time.

It really feels like after spending big money on 3 players last season, all of whom are struggling to hold down a regular place in the side, the board have made a concerted decision to go back to signing cheaper players who can be developed or who offer good value. It’s like they decided to go back to Japan due to the previous success we had there, but without the benefit of Ange’s firsthand knowledge. Neither Shin nor Inamura look ready to make an impact, especially not at European level.

That was a tactical disaster tonight. Literally not one player looked up for that tonight.

I’m sorry but Kenny can’t do a shift in his preferred position as a striker never mind the wing. We should’ve had 2 wingers and a striker in weeks ago

He never, ever changes the shape or system - no matter what.
4-3-3, every time even if we have to put inferior players to keep the shape.

We used to accuse Ange of no plan B - well Rogers is even worse.

Not disputing that, just the fact Idah was anywhere near the starting line up is a joke.

What’s the alternative? If Maeda goes through the middle it’s Yang out wide. It’s just a * embarrassment to have to rely on these players in a game of this magnitude.

Manager and Board have to work in tandem, we are actually advertising the fact that this is not the case, clearly internal problems, it's pretty poor all round tbh, especially for a club of our size.

Feel like hes in a weird standoff with the board and the club is suffering for it. Regardless though he had 30 million of his own bought "talent" on the park and he couldnt beat a mob from Kazakhstan.
