Might be at war with the board blah blah blah but play Maeda on the left and Yamada up top. Idah just now seems to need half a dozen chances before he'll score. Maeda and Yamada can swap positions throughout the game. Stop being * stubborn and playing Kenny. He's currently not good enough.

I think he has been asked to commit until the end of the season so many times over the last year or two, he will do so. He has effectively given fans his word. It is a weird situation for a manager to be in and if it wasnt for that he would be off now and noone would blame him.

Only way this will change is if fans stop buying kits and organise a boycott of a game or two. Hard to encourage fans to not renew ST’s when that’s done before any of the window happens and there’s a waiting list.

Dont think hes making any decision on whether he stays or goes until much later in the season.

He will see who we get in before the window shuts and how we get in Europe I think.

If the season doesnt go well - its not a given the support are clamouring for him to stay either.

    Things can change very quickly.

Nah, I think he's already decided..

He asked for change in our recruitment strategy, hasn't seen it.. he'll definitely go after this season.. maybe even before if it becomes toxic.

I'd agree, I see the prospect of Rodgers staying beyond this season at about 30%. He is a smart man and he probably see the prospect of the mob across the city getting their act together and our board being an anvil on our own ambitions and progress.

The quote he made last week about the boards ambition not matching his was an ultimatum in my view.

Im not sure. If we sign a couple of good players before window shuts. Get a few good result in Europe. Then the atmosphere around the place is completely different.

If we tank in Europe and has a stuttering season - then yes he will be gone

This is where he bothers me he came out last week and laid out as it is and you could see his frustrations the same ones we share with him. He then comes out today far more balanced with his politicians hat on and not saying too much

Knew this would be the case.. he's made his point.

He has to do what he can with the squad in the meantime.. it will be interesting hear what he says when the window closes.

If we win the league, and it is an if this year, and do reasonably well in the Champions League again, then I am sure he will stay. The reverse will be true too as well I feel.

I think we all have to cool our heels a bit and be patient a bit longer, and see what the composition of the squad is by the end of the transfer window. The main thing I feel just now, is to try and keep at least that 2 point cushion/advantage going into that game at Ibrox.

This side, could easily draw a blank in the most important game of the season coming up.. the CL Qualifier..

Its unacceptable and a gamble we don’t need to be taking.

    I don't share that fear.

As I have already said before, if we can't beat Bratislava or Kairat, with the present squad we have got, then we should simply chuck it and call it a day.

Too many of our managers have said that they weren’t properly backed by the board to take the team forward and this has all the hallmarks of happening again. Im definitely convinced that the board are scared of loosing the "old firm" attraction ( i don't think the hun fans could stomach us winning another one and would walk away) and are willing to see us loose the league

How about enhancing the squad to make it less of a gamble.. ? If Yang starts and Idah continues to misfire you should absolutely share that fear.. we're an injury or two away from that tie being full of trepidation.

A massive risk and i'm not sure why the board are taking it. They are practically planning to create the worst case scenario, throwing Brendan under the bus in the process. Worst scenario happens and we take the club back years. All I can picture is DD twirling his mustache and playing golf without a care in the world. I dont expect transparency with transfers but ffs give us some hope atleast.

Wittingly or unwittingly you are fearmongering, you will only attract more of that fear, and encourage others to fear too.
We are Glasgow Celtic, not Blantyre Celtic.:40:
