Hus style just isn't for me, going from Ange to this has been brutal.

First half of the season, up until Leipzig at home, was some of the best football I've seen us play in recent history, it was regularly said on here.

Since Christmas, it's almost been the opposite, its not as bad as Lennon or even last season, but it's been very poor.

Feel like Maeda has completely carried us through games at times, with Jota adding a bit of fresh impetus.

Hatate, Kuhn, CCV and Idah have all been largely rotten for a while now, and the likes of McCowan, Trusty, Engels and Johnston have been poor.

Get a good result at Ibrox, win the Scottish Cup and this'll still go down as an excellent season, but the recent performances will still be a worry.

Being pretty honest post match. Says players are too comfy, not giving it 100% and not ambitious enough. Spot on.

A large part of them being comfy stems from his choices though Nawrocki has outperformed CCV who has looked ropey for a while yet it's Nawrocki dropped. Kuhn miles off it for weeks yet always starts. Could argue Johnston as well has been off it for a bit but always starts

Whenever theres a bad result or performance hes usually fairly quick with insinuating its the players mentality was off. Very rarely does he ever look at the management team. At times - and certainly regarding the games against Rangers its been a healthy mix of both.

If the players are too comfy, its possibly because he keeps picking them without consequence. You cant drop a whole team but Id say Hatate and Kuhn are guys that could be singled out as being dropped if he wanted to send a message. Nawrocki got dropped despite being fine and hes one of the guys in the team that probably was hungry to perform at this stage of the season. I think he needs to take some responsibility for the players mentality being not right if its a repeated issue.

Im not convinced it entirely players mentality to blame either. This isnt an isolated performance. Its more often the normal performance away from home. Typically extremely wasteful in from of goal missing - thats a quality issue for me. Conceding goals at the back against teams with very little of the ball.

He enables this by continually picking players who are not giving enough. He has to take accountability as well. The players need to see something from him and the fans needs to see a reaction. It’s all very well saying something after the fact.

It’s always a facet in Rodgers sides where there are games where the team simply don’t turn up. But recently we have seen a recurring performance whereby we don’t start playing until the second half.
We also look as if we are regressing back to the pedestrian, horse shoe style football with not enough intensity in our play.

In his 1st stint He was able to make changes to our play when things weren't working ie the 3-2 game at Ibrox when Eddy scored the winner but nowadays He doesn't seem the least bit interested in making any changes to get results, next season will be tougher as the Huns will not drop as many points as they have done this season plus they seem to always have the upper hand these days when playing us, not confident about going to Ibrox in a few weeks and getting a result.

Kuhn is the prime example of what he is speaking about in terms of players being comfy but it absolutely is the manager's fault.

Kuhn hooked at half time against Rangers after stinking the place out which is then followed up by starting every game since.

CCV has looked laboured for weeks and well off it. Nawrocki comes in and doesn't set a foot wrong (Rodgers even said it) but it's Nawrocki dropped whilst CCV plays every week.

Hatate miles off it for weeks with his usual 1 in 10 good performance yet starts every game over McCowan and a newly fit Bernardo.

Johnston put in a Jonjoe Kenny level of * performance against Rangers and generally has been below par recently yet we never see Ralston getting a start.

We also keep hearing praise heaped on Johnny Kenny yet we persist with having to watch a miles off it Adam Idah coming on trying to impact games

Management vs player mentality are not mutually exclusive causes. If the players aren't up for it, you have to look at who's giving them instructions and picking them.

I think it's plain to see the players, whilst not unhappy, aren't exactly brimming with joie de vivre. Under Ange you'd see them really bond on pitch - they celebrated every goal, clapped each other on the back. There was a hunger for the team to perform. Now it's very workmanlike - build up play, work the ball, etc.

They're a team going through the motions and as a manager you need to work out what to do. Whether it's kicking arses, talking about rewards, or giving them a new problem to solve (e.g., a new tactic), it's Brendan's job to make sure they're bouncing out of bed every weekend ready to win.

I think the manager needs to have a think about whether he's doing all he can to get the best performances out of these players.

If we lose Maeda, Id fear for the team currently tbh. Even when hes not on it he at least provides unlimited work rate. And when he is on it his numbers are outstanding.

Take him out and the rest of the team are looking pretty laboured right now.

Those wanting rid of Rodgers have absolutely lost the plot.
Solid progress in Europe and most likely a treble incoming.
    But now he's * and should go....seriously?

Yes he has his flaws, perhaps arrogant and stubborn, perhaps switched off a little since UCL and (like old firm games and today) has a bad day and makes mistakes.

But he's as good manager as we can reasonably expect to have, we need to keep and back him in the summer whilst we basque in the glory of another treble and seeing off yet another failed Hun manager (or 2)

Just calm the * doon bhoys.
