Even at 1-0 we looked beat. They were swarming all over us in midfield, and winning every second ball, and at times looked like they had more players on the pitch, it was inevitable they were going to score more, yet Brendan sat on his thumbs and watched it all unfold, bizarre is not the word.
I would have brought four players on at half time. Idah, Valle, McCowan and Engels on.
Hatate, Kyogo, Maeda and Taylor all off, and matched them with a 4-2-3-1 formation.

    Not worried about his subs.

Normally think he's pretty spot on with that side of things. Everyone has off days, even managers. Let's not overreact.

Was a bizarre day all round. He really needs to stop playing Scales though.

I don't think it was bizarre at all, they came at us exactly the same way they did in the cup final. We had over 60% possession and they had more shots on goal in both games.

My concern is we've slipped back into the boring 'safe' tactics of the end of his first time here, and we saw a lot of last season, pretty turgid horseshoe passing backwards around the defence to the other side, we seemed to have moved away from that at the end of last season, in pre-season and the start of this one, much more quick forward play, but falling back into it again now.

Agree....For him to be winding up the journalists with his laughing at his side to side boring tactics.....Its backfired here big time on him.

We knew the way the Huns would setup the exact same way and he did * all about it.

    * me thats some abuse right there. Lol

And i never said i wanted him "sacked". I said i wanted him gone.

Ppl need to relax. Its not like im gonna mill about CP with a sandwich board ringing a bell and shouting Rodgers out.

I want him to leave. Its as simple as that.

Im not making apologies for wanting him to leave at the end of the season .
The same way im not gonna apologise for wanting Scales or Taylor relegated to back ups.

"with a * delusional * artist of a manager and squad that wouldn't grace the top half of the english championship is just obscene.

    * obscene."

You got pelter for spouting utter pish, again....in Celtic chat threads.

Stick to slagging huns in the hun chats. At least it's credible...

I'll worry if it continues for the remainder of the season.

It was bizarre in the sense that's as poor as I've seen a celtic team play at Ibrox or in any Derby game for some time. And bizarre in the sense it was his 2nd defeat out of 20+ games against them.

There's things to be worked on and we haven't been great of late but we've still had a great season so far. I've seen it too many times on here over the years after a defeat. No need to hit panic stations.

I also feel like we often slump at this time of year, not just under Rodgers but under numerous managers. We need this window and some freshness injected, it's a busy period.

I think it’s right for us to investigate the performance as, for me, it’s the worst performance ever seen from a BR Celtic team. Never seen anything like it before never mind PSG/Red Imps etc - it was a throwback to Corona season under NL.

January a big month as we have put ourselves under pressure in the CL given we now need to go and beat YB after some sub par performances against Brugge and Zagreb (yes, Brugge very much sub par at home)

We need to get back to the September, October and November form quickly as we can.

Been advocating for the double pivot/two defensive mids for a while, and if have went with Bernardo in there with McGregor as i think he offers more defensively than Hatate.

Its been clear in some games that when we turn over the ball, we are too wide open and our midfield is nowhere to be seen and/or gets run over. If you look at Dortmund, it was the exact situation as you have described with Mcgregor badly exposed on his own in the middle and Engels (in that game) out the game as he has committed himself in attack and been caught out.

We struggle to progress the ball when mcgregor is marked tightly and playing in the manner we do nullifies/suffocates our striker.

We have seen this type of performance in the past and we seen the warning signs in the cup final and we got lucky with big decisions. We cant keep playing the same way and not having a plan B when the opposition sets up to stifle us.
We have stronger players all over the pitch than them and Rodgers has to earn his money and find a solution. The changes needed to come at half time.

They had big players out and we have missed a golden opportunity. We cant play the same way in every game and its on Rodgers for me.

He's having a go at the fans. I was there and don't have a clue what he's talking about i don't think there was mass booing everytime we passed backwards.

He should concentrate on the job he's well paid to do instead of making * up.

Haven't heard the comments but wouldn't be the first time. He needs to stop that.

Fans are entitled to vent their frustration when we're watching timid, hesitant football. It's fine to say that it's about being patient, but supporters can see too many players taking the safe option and are entitled to expect more.

It's especially untimely after watching the biggest shitebag performance from the team on Thursday

Talking about patience? Im pretty sure we were all patience on Thursday......The * passing along the side and backs just seems far to much sometimes.

Im not expecting to be beating any teams 3 and 4 goals every week either...We know teams setup and make it difficult.

His ego rules him. He can go anytime. Fans can do and say what they feel. Rodgers will be gone but our fans remain loyal unlike rodgers sneaking off and trying to take our backroom staff. I will never forgive him for that. HH

His comments really weird . You get the odd groan here and there but I don't know why he's getting his knickers in a twist about it.
