It didn’t happen 3 weeks ago though did it. Because we created enough and scored 3 goals in that game. Aye we weren’t great, but it was absolutely * all like yesterday. I was surprised Rodgers didn’t change it at half time, but perhaps he has given them a rocket at half time and expected them to sort it out. Which we did in the cup final by the way. He did actually make subs at 1-0, but it was 2-0 a few minutes later, because Raskin showed more desire than Maeda. It was the most gutless performance I’ve seen from this group of players. Epitomised by our club captain hiding away no wanting the ball. That’s unforgivable and he should be nowhere near the starting lineup on Sunday for it. The best our midfield has looked in a while was last week when he was out the side.

In the 1st derby of the season they pressed us and made it difficult to get McGregor on the ball. 10 minutes in, Rodgers changed the shape, dropped Bernardo back in next to McGregor and played Hatate as more of a 10. We then went on to dominate the game.

I think both the cup final and yesterday, and a couple of games in Europe have been crying out for a similar switch of system. I don't understand why he doesn't do it, particularly given how effective it was in the 1st game.

You could genuinely have subbed every outfield player at half time yesterday. It was that bad.

It did happen 3 weeks ago. Seems to be some revisionism over that game. We were * diabolical.

In the first half we had slightly more of the ball and had 2 shots. Huns had 4. Mainly because we kept losing the ball and providing them with opportunities.

In the second half we had a good first 15 minutes where we scored twice. We then decided to revert back to the first half performance and stink the place out again. We had 6 shots that half to the huns 10.

Our first goal was a deflection from a corner. Our second was a solo goal from Maeda that came from a total mix up near the halfway line.

Our third goal, on the 85th minute, was nicely worked. Took us nearly the entire game to do it though. We created next to nothing from our own play.

So was it as bad as yesterday? No. Was it still * dreadful? Absolutely. We were abysmal.

39 shots we’ve conceded against them in two games. 13 for us. It’s quite clearly a structural issue.

The fact he didn't learn from the cup final where he got lucky is worrying.

I think he needs to rethink the 3 in MF now. Don't have the correct type of players for the shape either. No real CDM or AMC there. It leaves Kyogo totally isolated. Bringing Idah on did nothing to alter that either. Wingers were pretty much useless as well. He absolutely needed to bring the extra man on in thr middle of the park yesterday. We were exposed almost every time. Played through, with absolute ease.

So that's something Rodgers needs to address in the market and going ahead. To only have 4 shots against the huns team of yesterday, where Yilmaz had 6 alone shows he go this completely wrong.

I want him gone at the end of the season.

    Its that simple for me.

I didnt want him here again, and stated clearly that I would give him two seasons to prove me wrong on the merits of giving him a third.

    Yesterday is UNFORGIVABLE to me.

The stats alone, from the last two hun games should put him on a shooley peg.

This is a sevco on par with Caxinhas and Murtys in terms of form, points and stats... And they made our manager and players look like a bunch of hungover Sunday leaguers.

The poor form, for me anyway, is just Brendan doing a Brendan. Ie. Getting tactically sussed out, and refusing to change it.

Wrap up the title, leave with your dignitas regained.
Or stay, and watch the fans turn on him for the second time in his Celtic career.

To think we passed on Enzo Maresca to watch, what is quite likely, the most expensive side in our history faff, flap and * around in a game against a side on its * in the sand, with a * delusional * artist of a manager and squad that wouldn't grace the top half of the english championship is just obscene.

    * obscene.

Jesus Christ! I’m out. 3 losses in one year of football. Get him sacked though. There’s stupid, then there’s a whole new level.

Do you disagree with the description?

Because from what I saw - one was a deflection from a corner. One was a solo goal from Maeda and the other was a good counter attack.

I mean it’s literally what happened.

We've lost one game domestically and one in the CL from 6..

Won the first trophy of the season, 11pts clear in the league and a chance to progress in the CL..

A treble is a realistic target..

On the back of a double last season.

Regardless of our recent form, there's not even a debate about him being sacked.. :56:

Taking personal responsibility against very good teams is the key - it becomes both easy and lazy to pass sideways, walk about with the ball, get meaningless high possession stats.

It's really difficult to play forward, with aggression and positivity against very good teams.
Most of our better players have shown the talent (Leipzig) and I think we can also be a very good team - but it seems many of our squad don't have the mentality and strength of character, at least not yet.

Long before Ibrox, I was getting sick of midfielders not taking responsibility then pointing at others to where it should go - and repeat, and repeat.
Do it your feckin self - and get after the return too.

So do they count for less? Not really sure why you have tried to break down our goals as a way to downplay them. If we are doing that, the huns first goal was down to Taylor being sloppy, second was a biting ball that Engels should have dealt with, third Danilo shouldn’t be getting in between Ralston and CCV. You can analyse every goal and say why it shouldn’t have happened. Every game would finish 0-0 mind you.

Who said they count for less? Are you deliberately being obtuse in every thread here?

This started because I said our game was nullified. You said we “created enough”.

My point is that just because we scored 3 doesn’t mean we actually created loads. Because we didn’t. Only one of our goals was through a typical move we see from the team.

I’m not downplaying the goals or saying they count for less. And I know the huns goals were absolute gifts as well.

We stunk the place out and barely played a good bit of football for 120 mins. The fact we scored 3 doesn’t mean we carved them open. Same goes for them.

It was a cup final against our biggest rivals. They are usually not won easily.

We laugh at the huns for being bipolar over things. They’ll be having a right chuckle at some of the absolute nonsense posted on here.

    Agreed on that.

Only point is we were gash. Not as much as yesterday, mind.
