When you play too much football manager and think it qualifies you for coaching badges. It’s like many fans saying a player is good just because their fifa stats say so.

Got everything spot on against Leipzig but made a few bad errors tonight. Obviously Bernardo and Valle should have started, but not changing it sooner was the worst thing. First half our midfield was so isolated, McGregor being left on his own in the build up constantly. Was abundantly clear we needed another midfielder to drop back a wee bit and help out, which Reo and Engels weren't doing.

Anyway, positive is our mindset does seem to have improved under Rodgers this year. In the past we would have lost that tonight, I've no doubt.

Deffo got it wrong ad Paddy says with our approach even..

It was a half arsed press that didn't have belief tonight. Wasn't in packs like Leipzig and so Brugge (who were excellent) were able to pick us off and play through us..

Players hiding/no up for it. Players out who should've been starting..

Probably is a game we'd have lost over the last few year but still disappointing in the end..

Did comeback and show a few signs that we were on top to an extent I suppose..

At least he lead by example and made bold changes early on, which absolutely changed the game immediately.

At one point in the first half I saw him and Kennedy on the touchline going absolutely * tonto, so clear that some players were not following out instructions.

Aye I don't think he's deliberately told us to go out there and play like that...certainly the press. Why would he.

Him and Kennedy were the most animated I've seen them for some time. Think the majority of the performance has to go down to an off night.

I said in the KS thread but I'm actually very happy with how we reacted and the fact we didn't crumble. The team coming together after CCVs mistake was good too. We recovered and you'll take the point.

We are still more than in this. 1 defeat after match day 5. You'd have taken that.

Aye that hun * Hamilton said Kennedy was raging and telling us to play a higher line and get up..

I do wish he'd whip * off with double changes at half time though. It was clear as day first half Taylor and Engels needed * in an ice bath..

He's getting things right for the most part this season though..

Yip, cant fault his in game management this season, other than the obvious Dortmund disaster.

Aw man, both of them were out going * bananas, can't actually recall what minute it was but it was definitely first half.

Also looked over a couple of times at him in the dugout and you could see his visible frustration.

Just had a look and we've 3 days between games until January 14th. Going to have to get his squad rotation spot on for a while. A lot of players looked out on their * last night.

For me its difficult to criticise his tactics..

We've played 5 CL games and have only lost one playing 2 x German Teams, a quality Italian Team and well organised Brugge side.

And have every game domestically bar one, which was a draw.

It's been an excellent start to the campaign..

Hopefully, he learns tho, that well organised teams will setup and nullify us easily if the tactics and lineup is predictable. Like we saw last night.

It also shows where we lack quality options. Especially in the wide areas.

Hopefully, he's allowed to keep on strengthening, it's needed at this level .but it now becomes a bit nervy in terms of qualification.

Think getting to the playoff at least is still fine. Absolutely further forward than we expected with three games to go still.
Another 4pts is very much in grasp.

Tell you who it is nevry for, real Madrid and PSG seriously may not cut even a play off position.
Madrid have Atalanta and Brest still to come.

With our luck, they'll make and we'll draw one of them.

There is a feeling among many that we should be happy if we get a draw in Zagreb, and with European away wins few and far between for us, it's probably the best case scenario, but I don't see it that way.

If Brendan gets his tactics and squad selection right, and the players turn up, we can win it.

3 points is pretty much us home and hosed, and that's before we host Young Boys and travel to Villa - which will be a derby game of sorts.

    Lots to get excited about.
