Agreed. Yeah to my shame I was on that "grrr angry" boat but it all makes sense now what was going on. The transition to play Rodgers way was much harder than it looked (though i still think that transfer window didnt help him).

Don't think it's to your shame mate, don't ever remember you being shall we say 'extreme' with it like some others. Was a poor window in hindsight but even then, the squad we had should have been way, way better than we showed for a large spell. It was a collective thing which includes Rodgers himself.

The more I think about how bad things were getting (some were calling it as bad as the covid season ffs), to come back from that and get us to here is * unbelievable. Rodgers, the players and the club as a whole deserve massive credit for that.

For those who are in love.....
I was right on his case at one point last season and giving him stick..

He's got big baws and self confidence (which body expect from a top coach) for how he bounced back and his gone full throttle since, with a swagger as well..

I can't remember what interview or when it was but he 100% admitted to things going wrong late last season and that they had to have words as things weren't right. Would actually love to hear that again if anyone cam mind it?

What Hart said was really helpful in understanding last season; but it deffo contributed that we bought a load of players that Rodgers didn't want to play.

Vaguely remember that but no sure when it was specifically. What I remember most was him berating the officials after the Hearts debacle (Yang sent off, hearts pen for * all), going tonto and name dropping Beaton in the press.

Felt like a turning point that, no on the pitch just wae Rodgers himself. Was like he snapped out of whatever daydream he was in and just thought * this a need to go on the attack here.

Must be the best squad of players we've had since MON days anyway.

    Schmeichel - 107 caps Denmark
    Sinisalo - 3 caps Finland
    Bain - 3 caps Scotland
    Taylor - 14 caps Scotland
    Valle - 1 cap Spain (u20)
    Ralston - 12 caps Scotland
    Scales - 5 caps Ireland
    CCV - 18 caps USA
    Trusty - 2 caps USA
    Welsh - 9 caps Scotland (u21)
    McGregor - 63 caps Scotland
    Hatate - 9 caps Japan
    Bernardo - 21 caps Portugal (u21)
    Engels - 1 cap Belgium
    Maeda - 19 caps Japan
    Palma - 16 caps Honduras
    Forrest - 39 caps Scotland
    Kuhn - 4 caps Germany (u20)
    Holm - 2 caps Norway (u20)
Yang - 3 caps South Korea
    Idah - 28 caps Ireland
    Kyogo - 21 caps Japan

Can see McCowan getting a call up as well at some point if he keeps getting game time for us.

Said it many times. Give this man an extended contract. Let him decide when to move upstairs and manage the football department. He should decide his successor and nurture him whilst overseeing how we work at an elite level. I can’t think of any other guy I’d like to be in charge of us for the foreseeable future.

Like to see him commit for years actually now.

Hes done England twice now....I think hes done with all that.

I personally think he understands what a real club and fan base means without all the money and so called glamour down South.

He's basically guaranteed Trophy after Trophy up here....A chance to proove himself hopefully every year in the CL....and the way he is using the funds push us forwards in a way we thought would be impossible

He can now become an absolute Legend by staying with us for years building up the players, bringing in millions etc every year now.....Especially as we pull away from the Huns and become a dominant force.

Not many people can have their name up there just under Stein....but he certainly can now....If he wants to commit to this club like that.

I think that's a bit unfair to Ange because from hearing about what Ange said at the Celtic coaching convention, it was clear that there were triggers where players knew they had to be in a certain position when certain things happened in the game.

I've said it in a couple of other posts but our strength in dpeth is looking really, really good now. I'd really like to get a look at Valle to see what he could offer us (I know it's not loan to buy but neither was big Idah).

The partial clearout this Summer has been great for freeing up some wages, spots in the squad and letting players push on who were never gonna make it here imo. Interesting to see where we push on from here recruiting wise, and it's a great time to be a Tim. :ynwacelti

i have a notion that we are gonna have another invincible season .if we continue to match the workrate set so far nobody can live with us on the domestic front . on top of that i fancy us to set a record winning streak ,i dont know how it stands but the way we have started and the options of the bench i cant see us dropping points in the league

Hopefully in the January window we can add a few more players of the calibre we need to really push on. Could be another very exciting era on the horizon.

I don't think so, I think it was a very good side. But I think this one would beat them. It'd be a close game obviously.

We should be starting to see if we can convince him to stay past next year if possible.

Obviously still a lot of the season to go and things can change in the flick of an eye, as we seen last season, but the football we're playing just now is fantastic, and it feels like, for the first time in a while, we have a solid bench of players to bring on. Huns don't have the squad for European football and a title race, and Aberdeen will eventually fall off.

He's done it all down south already and is clearly a big fan of us, if he does the 3 years then goes I'll understand it, but what a sign of ambition it'd be for us to tie him down.
