This first paragraph, and his comments are more what I was saying (perhaps not as clear as I could be).

He's in the groove now, and he's let the folk that needed to know, what he expects. He's given them room to work but he expects it to happen.

Big week ahead, especially as the spotlight now appears to be moving on to Nicholson.

 

On the pitch its been pretty much perfect. I see no reason why this won't continue next weekend.

 

Even if we pull out all the stops by Friday it will be a disgrace if we don't sort out our recruitment structure. All very embarrassing.

 

BR has said a few times it will be worked on when the window closes..

 

He's changed his tune a wee bit has he not? Up till last few days he's been keen to stress that as much as we'd all love players in early, it's not always possible for a number of reasons.

His comments today seem to be positioning himself away from any flak that may be on the horizon. Can't imagine his stuff today has went down well with his colleagues.

 

He's right to call it out, whatever way he desires and if we don't get what we need next week.. he'll be less jovial with it..

 

Just a bit of a 180 he's had, find it strange is all.

Aye but if we bring in a few bits of quality, which it looks the now like we will, then all his panicky stuff the day has been totally pointless. Shat it basically.

Well, let's see..

Who knows what goes on in the background, he's stayed remarkably calm thus far and got the team performing really well..

He's shouldn't be the focus of fan criticism, with the way this window has panned out!

 

Don’t really think he will give a * what the board say to be honest with you.

He’s saying what every fan has been for the last couple of years now. He was fairly calm last week but we’ve made no signings since then and we are about to confirm the sale of our best player, while 2/3 others have been heavily linked with moves away.

Surely they reasons alone would be enough to see why he’s positioning himself in a specific place? Which is in line with 60,000 others at Celtic Park each week.

 

Ach no trying to be too critical, think he's been brilliant since that debacle away to Hearts last season where he went tonto at the Yang sending off. Has not put a foot wrong in any department since then.

But there no denying he has spent all summer saying it's normal for things to start happening near the end of the window, which of course is correct, whether folk like it or not. Just pointing out he's undermined his own opinion by panicking at the last minute. A blunder if you ask me.

Anyway, it's by the by. Exciting week ahead and another treble to add to his CV coming up.

 

He let slip in his presser earlier that a COUPLE might be close. One being Valle seemingly, wonder who the other is.

 

It honestly doesn't seem like a 180 to me. To me, he's had a consistent message for a while now: he'd like to get people in earlier if possible; but that it's complicated and not always possible and that as long as we get the quality in the end, it's acceptable. All that has happened IMHO is that, as deadline day approaches, he's emphasised points 1 and 3 more and more and point 2 less and less. That change in emphasis is very much possible.

I also don't think it's pointless if making it very clear to everybody where the responsibility lies and how he feels concentrates a few minds.

 

That's a direct quote. Million miles away from what he's been saying up till now.
