I was heart broken when he left the first time and I could never countenance believing in him ever again. I've been reeled back in again big time :56:

I see he emphasised power and pace being key as well as technique in the UCL.

Be interesting to see if he tries to address that before the end of the window. Surely recognises we currently have neither in the midfield.

I think Engels at least fits that criteria?

Not sure how fast he is. Perhaps. But as it stands ir seems like he will only join if MOR goes which for me shouldn't be the case.

Mind when loads of fans last season were wanting him sacked?

The fact we had fans still calling him the "rat" as well, a riddy of the highest order.

Could say the exact same thing in defence IMHO. There's only really CCV you would describe as powerful. AJ is OK for power, but nothing special. Scales can be bullied by some strikers and as for Taylor...
Similarly, there's no one really rapid in our back line. AJ and CCV are just OK, Scales can be a bit slow and as for Taylor...

Nawrocki is slower than Scales and Lagerbielke slower than Nawrocki.

We badly need a new LB and a Starfelt figure to partner CCV.

Aye I'd agree. It's lacking across the side.

But I thjnk in midfield we really need someone there, power and pace should be a given for most parts of a decent defence so I'd expect that to be sorted.

I'm not as convinced we will get someone in the midfield.

Yeah that Never sat well with me, yes I was disappointed in the way he left but has been discussed he was totally shafted by Lawwell so I couldn't really blame him..

I even had my doubts last season when some of the football was eyebleed stuff.. but you got to take into account our recruitment.

This now feels like he means business and looks quite comfortable which I hope means he's getting the backing he deserves from the board..

I really just want to see us have a go at Europe, don't have to win it obviously but just be competitive.. the fans deserve it.. domestically we will walk it I'm sure

He’s a class act and has demonstrated that numerous times. I, for one, was absolutely delighted when he came back. A top class manager whose ability shouldn’t be questioned. I just with Lawell would * off and let this man take us as far as he can. It would be a great journey.

His football was * and decisions were baffling for long points last season, I would have happily seen him out the door when we were looking completely toothless.

That said, always happy to hold my hands up to being wrong, and since the 3-3 game at Ibrox (that the huns won) he has had and will have my complete and undivided support.

CCV is faster than most centre backs I can think of.
