He was. Just reiterated what he said yesterday. He's told the board what's needed. Still working hard on improving the squad. He's keen to work with what he has. Idah is a Norwich player so no other comment.

Overall tone felt more optimistic than pessimistic but maybe that's me being wishful.

He's shutting me up big time. I genuinely thought his style had gone stale when he came back, didn't think he would get us playing football anywhere close to what Ange did, but the last four/five months have been unreal, and that's with a relatively poor squad.

The difference between that today and our opening day performance last season was mental. Was obvious everyone is on the same page, the players look a lot happier, the fans are fully on board and probably most important of all Rodgers has his mojo back again.

He's had 2 and a half transfer windows that have been far from perfect due to our recruitment team, is unbeaten against the huns and has us playing good football when we have mostly everyone fit

    Please back him.

Yeah it was chronic last season but I've been very happy with what we've seen throughout pre-season and today. Usually Rodgers starts off well then fades badly over the next few years. Hopefully it's the other way around this time.

Desperately need some reinforcements still though. I don't want to have another season of "what could have been" in Europe. We squandered two massive chances in the last 2 CL campaigns, really should done better given that our draws were pretty favourable.

All I want is progression in Europe. We need to start competing in knock out football. None of this "happy to be here" *. But for that to be a realistic possibility we need signings, no two ways about it.

I guarantee he has his sights set on winning all 38 games and the treble. Was 4 goals away from that feat first time he was here.

To be clear, I’m not saying we can do it. I just think Rodgers will have that in his mind :giggle1:

Think we are onto a winner this season

He needs to be backed though. Can't say anything that hasn't been said already.

If we don't back him in the position we are in, I'm lost for words.

The potential is so so obvious. Give him the players he wants to add to what is there.

The consequences of not backing him are severe.

Not just in terms of squad not being strong enough but we've seen before, when his ambition is not met his motivation goes. Folk mentioning he seems to have his mojo back and when he's got that swagger so does his teams.

Surely to * our board won't kill that under him like they did before bcoz once he last interest the last time it was a real slog

Warning shot #4 - not coded this time....:BR1:

"Well, that’s all about these next few weeks. Currently, our focus is very much on the players here and making improvements with them, but naturally, we want to improve the squad.

“There’s no doubt it’s our duty here at the club to do that for the players, and we all speak about it. I see these various reports that I’m sending messages or sending codes; I will never say anything that I’ve not spoken to my bosses here at the club (about)."

If he isn't given what he wants again, would he be justified in walking after failure to be supported as necessary??!!

Absolutely. I think he'd owe it to the fans to make a statement beforehand setting out his position. But I think most fans would support him this time round.

No need for code or hidden messages, just go full Ange and tell them things need to be quicker on the recruitment side.

Rodgers chooses his words very carefully, he's already said he's had talks with the powers that be, outlined what he feels is needed, if the Board don't match his ambition or vision then there will be big problems ahead.

Ridiculous too as there’s absolutely no reason not to be backing him. We have the money, guaranteed champions league, healthy amount of sellable assets…. What could possibly be stopping them? Every day that passes makes less and less sense
