I know it's only pre-season but the way we've played so far outshines anything we did last season imo.

I've been a big critic of Rodgers. There are some really positive signs at the moment though. The thing that pleases me the most is our intensity, we're passing the ball much faster than before and actually playing good football with nice combinations.

This is exactly what I want to see from us in the upcoming season. But we still need to strengthen a few positions to have a real chance of competing in Europe.

    This....
but also have to say we are coughing up a lot of chances with Kasper constantly bailing us out.
How good does he look by the way? huge presence, shot stopping, great distribution, big upgrade on Hart:57:

Scoring 95 goals in the league doesn’t point to a team that is “boring as *” as many would have you believing. To do that without the likes of Jota, Giakoumakis, Mooy and Abada, I’d say we done ok last season.

Got us playing some fantastic stuff..

The aggressive pressing as a unit and hunting in packs. Can see it all over the park from the front back. Our style of play. The pace and tempo we play at. The triangles. It's all there..

I'm buzzing for the season. He's got his mojo back. When we add to we've got....we're gonna have a cracker of a season..

The press is so much more organised.

Ange was great for us and a character in his own right but Rodgers tactically I think has him easily.

I have confidence that Rodgers can set us up against better sides and attack but not be wide open. Was always the concern with Ange it was very disjointed at times.

Full trust in him to come through the big games domestically. Just hope we can add a few scalps in Europe this season.

I felt never afraid we wouldn't score in the last minute with Ange, even in the 89th minute I just thought we will still do it. I don't get that with Rodgers, but his team was far weaker. Every signing bar Idah, Bernardo and Palma were pretty * and none of them were guaranteed starters whereas we lost Abada, Jota and Starfelt and it was rare that at least 2 of them wasn't playing in an Ange team. What he did with that team was actually pretty good, but also what Ange did in his first season where we had to play Montgomery, Welsh and Moffat (just look at who played winning the SLC in 21). Rodgers' style can be entertaining but can also be a very tough watch too!

It's easy to forget given how the campaign went but I think we looked far more organised in europe under him last year and looked far harder to break down.

Feyenoord away was very good 1st half up until Hart mistake right on HT gave them the goal before the 2 daft red cards * the game.

Lazio at home was again very good and probably should have won the game. A CCV slip in the last minute cost us.

Athletico at home was arguably our best performance of the season and one that showed we were in right track.

Athletico away Maedas harsh red card after 20 mins killed us.

Lazio away we were fine for 80 mins despite missing 4 or 5 certain starters, especially in forward areas.

Feyenoord at home, was a very good performance in what was a dead rubber.

Individual mistakes and poor refferring cost us massively. Not much Rodgers can do on terms of that and must be frustrating when he had set us up to be competitive.

Like you say wasn't like we were wide open constantly like under Ange. Still haunted by the Leverkusen and bodo games at home.

Don't get me wrong, love Rodgers and he got so much unnecessary slick last year when a lot of the problems were higher up, but he still has a long way to go to match those seasons under Ange, and I don't mean that as a slight on Rodgers at all, but bar Europe those were some of my favourite seasons watching Celtic.

Yes, and also no... I remember getting thoroughly skelpt a few times in Europe under Rodgers when I was staring in horror at us throwing caution to the wind against top teams. But last year, I thought the results did us a complete disservice, as we deserved something from a good few games, if nothing more than fairer refereeing at least

Under Ange you just believed that we were always going to get the result, whether it was blowing a team away or a last minute winner. Ange gave players a belief that they would and could always win a game.

Brendan is just different, there’s more tactical thinking other than plan A done better. Both are an enjoyable watch, but the all out attack from Ange was just brilliant. That win against the huns in his first season where we just blew them away was magical… I’ll never forget that one.

I actually think we have played well in the vast majority of the last two CL campaigns and deserved more from the groups. Ultimately it’s tine margins at that level though and we have missed so many chances and have been very naive at times. Also people forget we have had some bad injury luck in those games.

I think tactically BR had us set up spot on last season, especially at home. We are just relying on him being given the tools to maximise it.

I think the only CL game we deserved more under Ange was Shakhtar Donestsk away from home. Every other game, we got pretty much what we deserved. Last season, there were a few games where I thought we were unlucky.

They were great but I think Rodgers is the superior manager tbh.

And has also given us great seasons. Last season was more satisfying than most for me.

The football was * the majority of the time though.

Aye, we got there in the end but it was rough.

Aye last season was an absolute grind for me. We fortunately came out on top at the end but it wasn't fun.
