Most of that is very fair, mate. Especially the part I've put in bold and italics.

Just to give a bit more of a focus on a Rodgers tactical style… here’s a goal from the last time he was here against Rangers.

    Virtually identical to O’Riley’s.

Our tactics yesterday were great, given the chances we created. 2-1 flattered them.

His record against them is utterly exceptional, he has had their number over numerous squads and managers over both tenures. A massive part of why he simply wins league after league.

His real expertise is getting players in the right frame of mind psychologically, he protects them and motivates perfectly. Especially in the games v Them, he utilities the media and the confidence he exudes must be tough for the likes of Clement and it showed, really got under his skin.

Its more the mentality than anything amazing tactically, his record in the big occasions is unbelievable and I'm sure he'll have us ready for the Cup Final too.

It takes credit for steering us to the title, the momentum was with them, League Cup win, media full on Clement love in, officials absolutely doing their bit to keep them in touch, the fix was in.. if you add our injuries and poor recruitment he's has to take plaudits.

87 points, potential to total 93 points.

Not bad considering the inconsistency in level of performance. But at the end of the season I think we will look back and see a job well done (hopefully more consistent football to come next year with a full squad.

Been a lot of ups and downs and hes dealt with it well when other managers, maybe even 90% of managers we could realistically get, would flounder. For me this one is gonna feel sweet.

I think this is spot on. I think Saturday was the first time we've been able to play our strongest team all season and not one signing from the last 2 windows made it. So he's basically won the league with Ange's team minus Jota, Abada, Mooy, Starfelt and (for most of the season) Hatate. Not even mentioning all the games CCV missed. It's an astonishing achievement IMHO. A triumph.

Like you, I think that 90% of the people we had a realistic chance of getting wouldn't have won this league.

    Yeah definitely.

There's things to work on but there's always going to be things to work on. We had stuff to progress with under Ange too.

I've seen people still talk about not having him here next season. If we were to start talking about sacking managers with 68% win ratios, undefeated (potentially) against our biggest rivals and a potential league and Scottish Cup double, we need to have a word. I lost a bit of faith admittedly, but he's come back strongly to silence me for the moment.

For me the big concern is still the recruitment and how we intend to sort that. If we can, then we will be in for a similar period of dominance under him again IMO. With similar game changers such as Dembele or Edouard level quality added here and there we would be laughing.

There were actually fans this season wanting him sacked when we were top of the league :56::56:

February time I genuinely didn't see us turning things around 2 points behind. I must admit. Which at the time I found a mental thing to say but it was how I felt.

However I've tried to defend him throughout the season other than that spell and thankfully he's earned his cash the past 2 months.

A lot of work still needs done but right now for me it's more relief and excitement (here we go again) about Europe and what could come recruitment wise. But we really need to sort things in the background.

Once the title is done the focus shifts away from Rodgers again slightly and back onto the powers at be for this summer.

I'm almost exactly the same as you here, I defended him all season except for that 1 period around February when I also lost faith a bit. I think we were right to be worried, though. It wasn't just that we were dropping points, that was always likely given some of the back 4s we had to play in that period; it's how badly we were playing.

He hasn't half turned it around though. That first half at the weekend was the best I've seen us play since he arrived.

Also think we havent been used to "title races" for some time. It definitely added an edge and made the majority of the fan base pretty reactionary. More so than usual :56:

I've been confident we should win the league from the start. Never thought it should be in doubt, bit older than most so perhaps used to the league not being a runaway as opposed to any magic insight. My issue with Rodgers are his initial few months when frankly I don't think he was doing his job, not helped by the standard of football we played and obvious issues he wasn't addressing. I didn't mind him coming back, and had no real issue with how he left, it was his first few months that I find hard to accept.

December I think we started to turn a corner and he got more involved. Never said he should be sacked, but certainly for quite a while thought he should go at the summer. He's brought me round a bit, more engaged and we've improved as a team. Think he'll definitely get next season, if he decides to stay, which I don't think is a given. I'm fine with that, but also wonder how much will change from last season.

In terms of reactionary fanbase I'd say Rodgers has played his part in how he's been perceived this season too, both good and bad.

We did, but from much lower expectations. If anything opposite expectations.

    As above.

The positions were flipped and noone really expected anything of us that season. It didn't seem as to the wire either and we got stronger as the season went on.

For a while it didn't seem that way this season.

I was very critical of Rodgers for the first 6 months of the season, but to be fair to him the last couple have really turned it around. Not only improved performances on the park, but his demeanour off it and ability to bring everyone onside. Fair play. Given all the disruptions with injuries and fan unrest etc., 93 points would be an excellent total.

In some ways his biggest test is still to come this summer, as he's still to prove he's capable of rebuilding a squad in my opinion - it's something he's struggled to do in all his jobs so far. If he manages that, I think everyone will be fully behind him.

It will be obviously quite a feat to win the league with all the injuries we have had to key players this season. But for me his greatest achievement this season has been the next level of mind games he has subjected Clement to, and effectively destroyed SEVCO’s most valuable employee and contributor for them. Chapeau!
