Maybe the cynic in me I think

Honestly feel the club should be getting fan media involved more

At least we will get the honest opinion unlike the standard press

All kinda surreal tbh lol, one minute it's Ange next it's Brendan, looking forward to the new signings and seeing how we're gonna shape up.

At this point we could still have been looking for a manager, glad this is done and dusted and we can press on with our pre season preperation over the coming weeks.

We know Rodgers is a patter merchant lol, but listening to him today filled me with confidence, it just feels right, not a cheap experiment but a proper manager in place.

"I know that it hurt many people"

"It's for that reason I'm here today"

That's good enough for me. Welcome back Brendan, now let's get to work.

Guys got balls that's for sure.

The past is the past and for the glory he brought, the situation that led to him leaving and whatevers happened at Leicester is irrelevant. All he and us should be focused on is improving from where we're at. Ange set a high standard and BR needs to try and match or raise it if possible.

    Good luck Brendan..

Don't get me wrong I've said the same many a time, ban the lot if the *, we've got social media now etc etc.

As good as fan media is for us as fans, it wouldn't be a good look for us as a club, supposed to be a big hitter on the European stage and that, we'd look so *. There's only two or three of the fan media guys that you could describe as articulate and close to professional sounding.

    * me off just thinking about the agendas at play in the Scottish sports media though, it's a total embarrassment.

Any feelings of anger will dissipate over time, success on the park will heal all wounds, we will fall in love all over again, this time there will be a happy ending. :BR1:

The problem with that could possibly be a bias to news we want to hear.

Maybe we overrate the importance of that, though. I sometimes watch 67 Hail Hail on YouTube and they have very articulate guys like John and Asim (arguably Hamish when he wants to be) who do a great job, but I also like listening to Stevie (who isn't articulate at all). On the flip side, they used to have a guy (who I obviously won't name) who was very articulate but turned me right off, because he had a thicker pair of green-tinted specs than Tom Boyd.

I was more referring to the idea of replacing the standard media with fan media. As much as a lot of the MSM are sensationalist arseholes, they'll have been trained to a certain standard in terms of media relations.

Probably John from 67HH, Tino from Celtic Exchange and the main guy from ACSOM (forget his name now) would hold their own in that setting, after that it would be a lottery week to week which would no doubt result in some embarrassing scenes with the world looking on.

Edit - don't know who you're talking about with the one who won't be named, but sounds like major drama :giggle1:

Interesting in the fan media he acknowledged that in the second season they didn't play the same level of football.

I think he knows what we all know and feel about that.

At Martin oneills last presser he asked, "what shape do you think u leave the club in". "better shape than you" was Martin's reply.

    Well played
