We should be all over the audio for both the red card and penalty. Put the pressure right on that horrible mutant Beaton and hopefully rid the * from the Scottish game.

It speaks volumes that the manager, who never criticises officials, came out and named Beaton.
This is the guy who drinks in a Hun pub, yet the zombies hyperventilate when Collum officiate against them because he's a Catholic.

    Agreed..

What I'm saying is Beaton didn't have enough to overturn Robertson's call on that..

To be fair he didn't on the other 2 either but ramped it up..

A well known orange * picking holes out of everything with his team losing yesterday. That's the reality and we all know it..

I think our one is a penalty. Yang has got goal side and Cochrane catches his heel.

Yeah, I just think the mentality is * poor and it's a huge, potentially season defining bottle job from us though. It's our second hardest game but let's be real that isn't saying much.

I think most of the nerves beforehand stemmed from the fact that this * up was entirely predictable. We've been poor and barely able to string three consecutive wins all season. A good win mid-week doesn't really change that. This was the big one today though.

If we had won that game after Yang was sent off, I'd be confident about us winning this league. That's coming from someone who's thought since November that we aren't winning it.

Even a draw today would've been acceptable, but instead we come away feeling let down by them once again.

Can't blame Rodgers for the bullshit penalty or sending off but we just aren't a coherent side under him no matter the obstacles.

Glad Rodgers has came out and criticised the refs there, the red card especially was a * disgrace and the pen was just laughable. Been so many times last few year where we've been shafted yet never say anything about it, I want us to highlight these things every single time.

Glad he called out Beaton but decisions aside the 2nd half performance wasn't good enough.

Same they are sneaky penalties but still penalties, you can't run into a guy from behind like that and trip him.

I watched the highlights last night and St Mirren got one the exact same, where the Aberdeen guy was running at a ball bouncing out the box and the St Mirren player ran up and just slightly got ahead of him, same thing leg into the back of his leg and he got the penalty also.

It's just clumsy defending, you cant run full tilt at a ball if someone sneaks in front of you and bump into them. They haven't meant to foul them, maybe never even seen them but still you ran into a guy and decked him by bumping into him.

If it happens anywhere on the park they get given as fouls every time.

I know mate not good enough I just don’t know meself what he could’ve done formation wise or sub wise with the players available that would’ve won us the game. Was brutal the players have no bottle but couldn’t see it going any other way tbh after the Yang sending off

I thought we started the 2nd half well as well, then Hearts scored the first time they went up the park and that just killed the game.

Was like that one at Celtic Park they won 2-0, where the same happened, they got a corner their first time forward and scored then their next time up the park they got a freekick and scored.

Have won easy against us without needing to work for it twice in a row.

Livid Brendan Rodgers has let rip at VAR John Beaton after Celtic were on the wrong end of two contentious decisions.

The Hoops blew the chance to go a point ahead of Rangers after going down 2-0 at Tynecastle. It was a frantic first-half as Adam Idah missed the opportunity to put the visitors in front from the spot before Yang was controversially sent off moments later for a high boot on Alex Cochrane. It was a game-changing moment but there was more drama to come after Tomoki Iwata was cruelly penalised for a handball

The Japanese star and Alistair Johnston both leapt in the air but the falling ball then flicked off Iwata's outstretched arm, with the Hoops midfielder oblivious to its whereabouts. But after a lengthy VAR check, ref Don Robertson was called to the monitor and eventually pointed to the spot. Jorge Grant converted before Lawrence Shankland's second-half goal put the game beyond doubt

But Rodgers was furious with the decision-making from Robertson and especially Beaton in the operations room at Clydesdale House as he accused the officials of costing his side

He told Sky Sports: "Firstly, I want to give credit to my players because they fought from the very first whistle and made a real competitive game of it. I never like to comment on officials, it's not something I like to do. I've stood here long enough over many years, but that cost us today.

"The officiating from onfield to John Beaton in VAR, was really, really poor. I look at the first incident, if you put a still on that then of course it looks dangerous. But that's not the reality of the move. There's no force there. The ball has popped up, it's a booking. So that was really disappointing to go down to ten men with that. But to then receive the penalty against us, wow that was even worse

Just feel we should have went to 3 at the back and kept them in their own half.
Putting Kyogo on and hitting high balls to him was never going to work.

Agree. Losing with 10 men at Tynecastle with their first a pen isnt end of the world. Huns will still be worried about losing to Motherwell at home more than I am that result today.

We hit high balls to Idah which most certainly did work, and Kyogo done well playing round about him.
