That performance was something straight out the invincible season. Quick, fast paced football and giving the other team absolutely zero space. Every single one of our goals was from a fantastic bit of play.

Still a long way to go for him, and we've got a really tough game coming up this weekend, just need to keep it up.

Why do we start playing like that all of a sudden?
    Like different team.

The players have it in them. As does his style of football if it comes together.

Aye its Dundee but we also saw it second half against Motherwell.

For some reason there's been a distinct lack of consistency. I'll say it again I'm not convinced long term with him still and I do think there's a lot of things to be solved but if we continue like this for now you can't argue. It could be us hitting form at exactly the right time. Tynecastle is a huge test.

Definitely can't get carried away and certainly won't ignore the still quite prevalent issues but tonight was enjoyable for the first time in * knows how long.

Having Johnston, CCV and Taylor with a presence in Iwata makes all the difference.

Could be that all we needed was a good performance (second half Motherwell) and getting the fans excited again, to then carry it on and build some confidence. Cliché but it really is massive having the fans behind the team.

Another good performance and win on Sunday and we will be ripe to start blowing * away on the regular.

Look at the Carter-Vickers goal as well..

Him, Idah and Iwata were all in line to attack the ball then we had Scales who's been our best aerial threat for most of the season. Johnston decent in the air..

We are and looked a much more physically imposing outfit with the boys who've came in..

Completely agree gives the midfield forward the confidence to go commit to being attacking, especially with Iwata there too.

Big game on Sunday, need a strong performance again and they will be there for the beating despite their great run of form if we play like that we should have too much for them.

Brendan Rodgers shared a Celtic joke with BBC reporter Jane Lewis after the storm over his "good girl" remark in a previous interview.

The Celtic manager - who had admitted his sadness over the situation - came under fire for his comment to the experienced journalist after the win over Motherwell at the weekend.

After refusing to expand on his comment on the narrative surrounding Celtic this season, Rodgers had said: "Okay, are we done? Good girl, well done, cheers."

Reporter Lewis said no offence was intended by the remarks and insisted none was taken after her interview with Rodgers became a talking point.

"Clearly, the interview on Sunday has become a talking point," she said.

"I don't believe there was any offence meant by Brendan Rodgers - and for my part, there was none taken."

Experienced broadcaster Lewis was back on interview duties with Rodgers at Celtic Park for the match against Dundee with the hosts running out 7-1 winners.

And Rodgers referenced the interview storm in his post-match interview as he shared an on-air joke with the laughing Lewis.

Quizzed on whether he had said anything to spark the thumping victory at Parkhead, Rodgers joked: "It certainly wasn't what I said to you!"

Lewis, who laughed at the light-hearted reference, added: "I think we might leave it there!"

Rodgers had previously said of the situation: "I think you guys, since I have been up here, and any other journalist or reporter, know that I have always based my life on relationships.

"I have always offered a warmth, respect, tried to be courteous and offered time to people. That will never change.

"I will address it because I’ve obviously been aware of it [recent backlash].

“Sadly for me in society now, we are looking for something to offend or something offensive to try and pin onto people.

"Obviously when there is that little bit or big bit or whatever it was then I feel I need to address it.

“I deal in people in life, whether it’s players and people in the media.

“I’ve spoken to Jane and she wasn’t offended. We had a laugh about it and she will continue to ask me awkward questions I’m sure.

“We have good relations, like I do with most people in my life

Much better performance tonight. Great to see us pushing out and up the park quickly and actually having possession that unbalanced the opposition as opposed to just having possession.

    Iwata is making a difference.

    A natural defensive linchpin.

Who'd have thought it. Oh wait! Every *.

It was weird how little Ange used him too.

I think when mcgregor was out that 6 we did miss him starting the play but it's been clear for some time we needed someone to balance the midfield a bit and help protect the defence.

We've been shocking at winning second balls and recoveries for a while in there and genuinely seeing Iwata make a tackle in the midfield still takes me aback slightly as I'm just not used to it from our midfielders.

Really like the look of him and I've been sceptical to date. Still think we need a bigger, powerful option too, but he brings his own set of attributes to the table.

It's probably the one lack of transfer business I didn't really put down to Rodgers.

Both Lennon and Ange didn't go for a proper No 6 or use them when they got one for whatever bizarre reason.

Was at the match tonight and Dundee like a lot of teams generally have much bigger players. Iwata looked on par height and build wise with just about all of them. Gets in at them and roughs them up a bit, whilst making sure we get the ball back. Great to see. Nothing nasty but gives it back a bit.

He's defo got some upper body strength to him. Stocky. He's about 5f9/10 I think.

Definitely growing into the role and seems comfortable as a celtic player now.

Desperate for Hatate back, they'd make a good duo.

I'd argue having a target man instead of Kyogo is what makes the difference. Can't play a possession-heavy style with a pressing Forward.

It seemed less of an issue under Ange (domestically at least) because we dominated and controlled teams to the point where usually they could only muster a few half chances a game. That hasn't been the case for most of this season and far too often matches have resembled 'you attack, now we'll attack' style basketball games.

There's been much less of that these past couple games though, and seemingly Iwata (along with CCV) has been a big part of that improving.
