Stupid cow was badgering like an American prosecutor.

Privileged position to even get an interview and she tries her utmost to badger and get a reaction, Any other walk of life she would have got told straight to fk off.

Hope they ban her and whatever outlet she was working for.

No means NO or does that only count when a woman is saying it?

    Anything for story

This attitude, which is increasingly accepted, is exactly what worries me. Nobody has the right to tell someone else what they mean, not even a majority has the right to do that. The fact that this is no longer obvious to people is something that really worries me about our society.

Whether he should apologise has everything to do with what he himself meant by it and you and I can't know that. With someone more honest than Rodgers, we could ask them; but, well, Brendan Rodgers. This means that we are left trying to figure out his intentions. A priori, both possibilities are entirely plausible:

On the one hand, it is clear why "good girl" can be sexist and people our age all know people who would say that in that way. Moreover, Rodgers was clearly intending to be dismissive, which makes it plausible that he was dismissing her as a mere girl. This would be deeply sexist and definitely require an apology at the very least. On the other hand, it's a fact that Rodgers does sometimes say "good ____" to bookend interviews and that the English language almost forces you to address someone in a gendered way unless you use the pronoun "you". "Good person" would be utterly bizarre and would be said by no native speaker ever. In the situation we are discussing, his emotions will have been very strong and the cognitive load very high. People often fall back on formulaic speech patten in these sitiations, so it is also entirely plausible that he was merely trying to dismiss her using his characteristic speech patterns.

Probably his friends who know him well will know if he was being sexist or not and certainly a professional linguist who took the time to analyse his previous interviews could probably tell us too; but no one on TalkCeltic, in the MSM or at any campaign group really knows.

Finally, it's possible that some people might reject my original premise and think that this combination of words should be proscribed regardless of what is meant by them. These people also worry me deeply. Proscribing sexist comments is sensible; proscribing combinations of words regardless of what is meant is not compatible with free speech.

The scum in the media will want to let this non story rumble on and on. Did they have the same avid fascination when Gascoigne beat up his wife? * all the orange * all over the media in Scot(hun)land.

    She did.
Feminist groups on it as well as speirs, all tryin to work an angle on it. It's not sexism at all, at worst could be deemed patronising - is that really where we are as a society though that we can't even be patronising (if he was).

Turns out, Jane wasn't offended, Rodgers isn't offended, I'm not offended, just a feminist movement that want to feel vindicated in their own crusade, but fail to understand nothing was sexist at all.

    It's a complete none story.
At this stage, anyone in the media who continues to push this agenda now, is surely running in to trouble for defaming Rodgers now. Specially after mentioning the Jane part.

Why shouldnt she...literally * all else happening on this planet to discuss.

On a serious note. Kate Adams is a total *. Have thought that for years. This is just to keep herself relevant.

Person in question isn't offended and I'm betting has been treated worse by other males in her roles over the years.

Let's keep the Airways clear for topics that need proper coverage in this unjust world we live in.

Perhaps this is all just a brilliant meta gameplay from Rodgers to deflect attention away from his team and put it all on himself. A genius at play.

    Perhaps not...

I think we all know that the SMSM will try to drain every last drop of a blatant anti Celtic story
