Him leaving when he did could have * up that season though. Tbf to Lennon, he came in and saw it through.

But, we move on and I'm getting more on board with Rodgers with every passing day.

I’m glad we appointed someone who has an understanding of what we need and that we retained the back room staff as well,

I think in Brendan we can all look forward to someone who will give it a right good go not just to beat the Huns as much as we want him to. But that he will structure the team to have an attacking flare that can change and work in Europe. I know his European record isn’t out there but I’m sure this is the first time I’ve heard him actually say he will plan for Europe rather than just domestic dominance

I couldn't disagree with that any more tbh I think as a support we almost universally wanted someone other than Lennon was it not at that time there was the chat about Rafa Benitez and Marco Rose. It's mental to think how different it would be for Lennon had he walked away after that Hearts game.

Lawwell sounds like he has just ran up the stairs before the press conference.

    His breathing sounds terrible.

Thought Rodgers answered the questions well, he couldn’t come out and say I fell out with this shirt breathed * beside me now we are pals again.

He'll be here until Postecoglou gets sacked from Spurs.

People forget there was 5 trophies won inbetween losing the 10 and Lennon taking over.

A massive part of the damage, and a mistake I see us not making this time around, is we gave Rodgers full control over everything. The appointment of Congerton was something that set us back years and it showed in the recruitment.

It’s nothing short of a miracle what Ange done off the pitch as well, and now with Lawwell Jr in charge of that side of things as well as Jay LeFevre working further up in the background, it won’t be repeated a second time. Rodgers coming in alone with the same backbone there shows we’re going for continuity.

Last time when he took charge we had a vast, well respected scouting network, over 50 scouts on the books. After the database he inherited was written off and we had about 3. And then taking a load of the backroom he’d built up, it made us be in a very difficult position.

The 9 season under Lennon is some of the best football we have seen and I’ll die on that hill, it was fantastic, however it was built upon Rodgers backbone and Lenny’s ability to get a lot out of players. The following season, we forced guys to stay who were promised moves, we had no scouting network except club contacts and guys who’d played decent against us (*cough*Barkas*cough*) and Lennon losing the plot.

Lenny was a massive part of it, no doubt, and the way he’s acted since * him. But he was far from the only person to blame.

What Ange has done at this club has been * spectacular. It wasn’t just on the field, it was top to bottom.

And a lot of those signs were apparent in Rodgers last transfer windows btw.

Right it feels real now. Said all the right things without trying to win the support back over instantly.

Buzzing for the real work to start all over again now. Think seeing his team straight in a CL campaign is exciting, considering the mental fatigue the qualifiers can have before it’s even usually started for most others.

Hopefully now we can get to the transfers, I’m buzzing to see how we’re going to spend that 35m

maybe it’s 4-5 players or maybe just one grand marquee signing (Lawell Snr would be found twitching in his chair chocked on his own tongue from screaming at the budget sheets) Next to him is Nicholson lying dead stapled to death,

see this is what happens when the zoom meeting your supposed to be on gets cancelled at the last minute instead of working I’m writing this *. If you think it’s bad in here on the Holm thread they are arguing men having the right to be pregnant

it’s like “life of Brian” in there

Celtic banned the BBC from the PC

BBC Scotland have released a statement about being denied access to the media conference.

It reads: "We’re sorry that Celtic did not allow us to access today’s media event. We are in discussions with the club in an effort to resolve the situation."

Well it's old ground now, but there was no surprise when he got the gig a mixture of laziness from the board and Lennon doing so well by securing the treble.. they took the easy option, but hindsight is always a wonderful thing..

I agree it's done and dusted and I sound like a bitter wee * when I'm genuinely positive the now but even without hindsight walking out of Hampden eveyone was buzzing heading in to town for the open top bus then when the news broke Lennon got it full time it totally killed the atmosphere
