I'm looking for a light switch moment and a performance with lots of goals...I know a win is the most important thing but we need to show we can score goals again.

I dont really see what is nonsense or complete garbage about it.

Alternatively we could take the outlook of a lot of people on here and just hand them the title the now.......say "we're no up for a title race" and sit back and watch it happen. I know things are bad at the minute. I know things need changed. But as far as the team on the park and what we need to do from now until the end of the season........I do not see the point in moaning the face off every * every day of the week......we need to win this league......moaning and complaining is not going to work at this minute. We need positivity more than anything right now

Just looking for a win tbh. Not fussed on the margin.

I don’t see is winning this league due to goal difference. We need to grind out results and then take 4 points from two games against Sevco.

It'll be his last decent job if we lose this league. Hope he's bright enough to realise that and gets his finger out.

His stock will be at an all time low if we keep going the way we are currently.

One player that’s pretty much always been consistent is McGregor and even now he’s also not performing, that is criminal on Rodgers behalf

Brendan Rodgers has challenged his under-fire Celtic players to deal with Parkhead pressure - or find another club.

The Hoops boss is up for a title battle with Rangers, who are now five points clear at the top of the Premiership table. Rodgers, whose side take on Motherwell at Fir Park on Sunday, admits the scrutiny his team are under will be like nothing they’ve faced before. But he’s told them it’s part of the deal in Glasgow and if they can’t handle it, they’re in the wrong city

After being eight points clear in the title race at the turn of the year, Celtic have slipped up and allowed their Old Firm rivals to take over. They were booed off the pitch after last weekend’s 1-1 draw against Kilmarnock at Parkhead. Rodgers has vowed to stay calm under criticism as the champions look to get back on track - and says his players have to cope with copping flak.

The Celtic gaffer said: “I’ll be fine. For me it’s about 38 games over a season. I’ve heard throughout my career that I’ve never had this before and never had that before

That’s normal - but it’s not my story. If you can’t handle pressure, especially at the biggest clubs - those aren’t the clubs for you. Go away, there’s plenty of clubs for you where it’s like a holiday. You play one game a week and there’s no drama.

“If you draw a couple of games and win eight, you’ll be held up there. But with the biggest clubs, that’s part of the deal

You have to be able to deal with playing home and away here. In my experience of Celtic Park, it has been an amazing place to play. For players coming here, it’s great when you look on YouTube and see 60,000 fans singing You’ll Never Walk Alone or Champions League nights. But in the small print it says, by the way, there’s big pressure. Deal with it.

You have to accept that as a Celtic player. You can prepare and can create an illusion for them of what it might be and might feel like. But not until you actually feel it yourself and go through the process, do you really understand it.

“That’s why I have huge admiration for players who come here. Because the expectations are so high, as high as anywhere I’ve ever been in my career.

“That’s why I’m always keen to support the players and bring them through that. Every man and his dog will criticise them now. It’s my job to help these players, especially when a lot of them are still young

This is a journey for them, to come through to be a Celtic player. It’s all about time. It’s difficult for any player or manager to come into a club where the expectations are absolutely huge, if you’ve never felt or sensed anything like that before.

“At a club like this, that comes onto you pretty quickly. Then you have to get through that. So this is all part of a phase of players getting used to that expectation.

Despite their recent demise, Celtic are still in touch with Rangers and have two Old Firm derbies to play before the end of the season. They’ve also got a quarter-final tie at home to Livingston in the Scottish Cup.

That’s why - with two trophies still up for grabs - Rodgers is refusing to panic. He said: “I don’t need to remind myself that we can still win the Double, I know that’s the case. To do it, you need to step up and meet the challenge

I can see the players are excited by that, as we all are. This title race is going to be brilliant for the league. And we know what we have to do

Don't like his angle here. Basically turning it all on the players. Snidey. Ironically, he needs to step plate and deal with the challenge also. So far, he's failing.

    He's finished.

Once ANY manager starts publicly telling his players to move on if they can't hack it, it's over.

    * me, really has turned into a carbon copy of the COVID Season. All that's missing is the manager to publicly back Lawell and Desmond as good ol bhoys.... Oh wait.

We've signed 10 players since his arrival, not including Iwata or Phillips.

Of those 10, Kwon and Tilio have been loaned out. Kwon never saw a single minute on the park and Tilio got 28 minutes.

In terms of minutes on the pitch in the league, this is what they've equaled to in full games:

    Holm - 2.3 games
    Yang - 7.9 games
    Narwocki - 4.6 games
    Lagerbielke - 4.7 games
    Bernardo - 7.8 games

Kuhn and Idah signed last month, no point showing theirs. So basically the only guy who has had decent minutes for us in the league this season is Palma.

So who is Rodgers actually talking about there? He's by and large, as the stats suggest, talking about a group of players who have just come off of a treble. The same group who were a part of a double the year before that.

We all know the Summer was poor but his management of virtually every new signing has been disastrous. There's been no consistency, no bedding in process, no confidence building. He's totally frozen out some of them (harshly, imo).

The injuries haven't helped our quality on the pitch but they've actually freed up places for these fringe players, but he's chopped and changed so much that none of them have been able to stake a proper claim. Bernardo did eventually but even he was neglected for months, as his lack of minutes shows.

And now Rodgers wants to rely on those players to push on and win the title? The same players he's been publicly slating all season long?

Please someone make his management make sense. He's finito.

Thought what he said was spot on if you can't handle the pressure get another club. Let's hope it has the desired effect

He is deflecting blame - putting it all on the players. He needs to be a boss and admit he has had a role to play in our demise then step up and earn his goddam salary

Looks to me like he's trying anything to get a reaction out if the group. To be honest I've no problem with it, I get the impression there's next to no aggro in the dressing room ever, just 'aww unlucky mate you'll do better next time' type *. Tip toeing around the issues so as not to hurt anyone's feelings.

I don't think that's healthy and is what has led to us being soft as *. It's actually had me wondering about Cal's leadership qualities but that's another story, but maybe some tough love is required.

Put it this way, whatever approach Rodgers has took so far has failed, so am happy enough to see him try something different which is what I've been suggesting for weeks.

    * the huns.
