I’m passing on my opinion based on what I and the rest of the fans have witnessed. The summer transfer window was a shambles. No really sure how that can be disputed to be honest. Even @Double Dutch has now said the recruitment team have * it. He was the most avid backer of the board all summer and January. Anyone attempting to defend the summer transfer window and recruitment team, which you are doing, is naive at best, or just plain stupid. You can decide which one you are.

I know what he said. I read it. Anyone can see what he said, it’s no a secret. He backed the board and recruitment all summer and January though, and even he has now admitted they have made a * of it. Something every Celtic fan should know by now.

I know Naka m8 .. I just feel he isn't doing it for the team really. Celtic will have my support always no matter who's in charge but he has lost the dressing room with his tactics really. We are playing slow turgid football that is down to him.
Yea didnt take long for Sunderland to get rid eh.

All to blame m8. But he gets the big bucks so that's where it stops. He should show responsibility for his team under him and if they arent performing he should get them out, whats worse is, if HE doesnt recognise his team isn't performing at top level , he isn't fit for the job.

The time for that notion ended when the January window closed. Let's not forget this is a board that Rodgers has defended on numerous occasions even when the January window was drawing to a close he came out and again defended them after the Ross County game "If it's not me it's the board"

Rodgers is an elite level bullshitter and has tried to play both sides throughout the season but never been able to stick to one narrative for more than a week or two.

He has been shafted by the board again but the time for the idea of Rodgers being respected for sticking 2 fingers up to the board and walking is long gone now had he not defended on numerous occasions it might still have been there but it isn't.

Am capable of altering my thinking according to current events lads, unlike our Murphy bhoy. Recruitment brought in some talented boys, but Rodgers has failed to get them playing with any sort of confidence.

That's the biggest failure here, I know murph will try and twist it to his own agenda, but that's to be expected as it's his specialty. But aye recruitment have failed...we needed experienced players with a strong mindset to help the project boys coming in and they didn't get them. What Rodgers has done with a squad capable of winning the league is far worse.

Don't think that's quite right there. Am certainly not a non-football person and I cringe like * seeing grown men losing all control at times. Aye vent your frustration, but there's a line you want to try stay the right side of. That's just me though, I know it's the way it is and I ain't about to try and tell * to reign it in, it just makes it worse lol.

Aye losing all control is too much, there’s definitely a line.

But a bit of chastisement of the millionaires is fine in my opinion. I cringe when someone thinks all these guys need is love and cuddles to play at their best.

The board and the people 'running the show' are largely to blame for the debacle this season. They're genuinely cancerous.

But Rodgers has to take a hefty slice of the blame. He's in bed with the board (I don't care what anyone says) and looks completely washed up. Apart from 45 minutes vs Atletico, he's failed to show anything this season that makes me believe he's a half decent manager, let alone a good one.

The arguments about who is at fault are getting tedious because it isn't one or the other. They are all culpable. The board are a disgrace and hiring Rodgers was ironically one of the worst decisions they could've made. Equally, Rodgers has underperformed to a staggering degree all season. I never wanted him back and have wanted him gone since December.

They all need chased. Anyone with the surname of Lawwell or Strachan, Nicholson, Rodgers etc. Seriously all of them! I don't want to see us starting next campaign with any of them at the club in any capacity. I don't give a * if it means going through a difficult transitional period. We're going to need another rebuild in the Summer anyway.

A complete overhaul in every single under-achieving department is about a decade overdue. Time to change things.

If he left and we win the league I think the best Rodgers could hope for is we wouldn't hate him too much.

Everyone agrees the transfer windows were underwhelming FFS, that's also no great secret. Doesn't excuse BR being a washed up fraud of a manager though. He's partly to blame for it too ironically.

We could've signed Mbappe and Haaland and he would still play sideways football that creates no chances for them to score.

I never said he couldn't be expected to win.

No idea what point you are attempting to make in the first sentence, whatever it was you didn't manage it.

By your 'logic' the team with the better players should always prevail - neither Real Madrid or Bayern Munich won at the weekend although the resources at their disposal were vastly superior to the opposition's. Its this uncertainty of outcome that makes the game interesting....

I agree with you, he's not become a bad manager, FFS he took Leicester to their 2nd and 3rd highest league finishes in the history of the club and won them their first ever FA cup. Missed out on CL football twice on the last day of the season. He's not without criticism though, as he wants to play a style of football that these players aren't good enough to do. Last season Ange had JJ, CCV, Starfelt and Taylor at the back Rodgers is forced to go with Ralston, Scales, Welsh and Taylor!
