Genuine question at the chance if being laughed at......NOT a long term solution however if it was announced tomorrow that brendan was gone and lenny was here until the end of the season what would everyone's thoughts be?

Personally I believe he is not the man to take us forward however he would definitely stick a rocket up the arsenal of the players we currently have

We’ve already been down the road of torment with NL in charge.

He'd do absolutely * all! He's a busted flush at the club now, and if the board brought him back they'd deserve the pure rage and violence that would be unleashed on them...

We don't need old school, 'fire up the players' type managers in this era... The players wanna PLAY! Train them to be fast and attacking and to use their own talent, without micromanaging them, and they'll perform fine. Neither Rodgers currently, not any manager we'd likely replace him with between now and summer are likely to do that

So as you say not a long term solution so why even think about it.
Let's look forward. Get Rodgers to * and bring in a new manager to work with the current squad and see what he needs to bring in.
But most importantly get rid of the * Lawwell, so that when the next manager identifies the players he needs he's at least got a chance if getting them.

The cups were irrelevant this season in fairness, the league was all that mattered with the prize involved

I 100% agree with you on the recruitment mate, you know that, I was screaming from the rooftops about it. It still doesn't excuse the absolute * served up on a weekly basis and letting the hun overtake us. Rodgers has enough at his disposal to win this league especially considering the head start we got, they had a car salesman as a manager for the first few months

I was creating a scenario in my head hoping Palace come in for him after Hodgson left and getting pretty excited at the prospect, but even then I wouldn't trust the board to appoint anyone decent to replace him anyway.
Having read the quotes from him,Taylor and Calmac about inquests and standards after Saturday, I'm still clinging on to some hope we can get the finger out and turn this round, but I'm pretty sure we've seen and heard it all season. Really disillusioned with it all just now.

Don’t want them matching treble haul so if league is lost it’s the next big objective

I'm looking at our upcoming league fixtures and in almost every one of them I think "oooof could drop points in that one"

Gone from being confident of 3 points even if we were 1 - 0 down after 85 minutes under Ange, to trepidation at every fixture.

BR hasn't been helped by the board but he must be held responsible for the utter knackering of the winning machine Ange had built.

We should be playing better, I agree there. With the players we have, it should be close in the league between us and the huns though. We haven't got a great squad by any stretch. The start we had was because Rodgers was able to get wins at difficult grounds with a lot of injuries and a honking bench for the most part. Our points early on didn't reflect our squad. Rodgers has us playing some shocking stuff, there can be no denying that. Early in the season I think a lot of that could be pinned on shocking recruitment as we had a lot of injuries and were relying on guys like Turnbull, Mikey Johnston, Forrest and Yang to start games for a lot of the time. The starting lineup has been a lot better on paper recently though, especially in the midfield and forward areas and we are still shocking to watch though. As a club, we are just rotten from top to bottom the now.

That same car salesman also picked up 2 more points than Ange did after he was appointed last season by the way.

Spot on that. This made me laugh -
'With 71 per cent of possession at the weekend, Celtic managed five shots on target, to Kilmarnock’s six.'

I've read this several times, and just don't understand it.
Are you really saying that if we don't win the league, you'll take solace from the fact they might not equal the number of trebles we won?
    * me, that's all I can say * me

By that, I meant we could field a team that is superior to everyone in Scotland.

Half a decent manager would get more out of them than Rodgers is.
