Had to laugh earlier heard his interview and he said "The result is solely on me ... and the players"

We have 1 less point right now than we did after the same amount of games when we lost the 10.

We were also out of the league cup at the first attempt and finished bottom of our European group with 4 points.

This is eerily similar. Bin the fraud now!

We are still absolutely in the driving seat. On Wednesday night, we had a good game in a superior league, we won!!!
Today, we lost a game (a rare loss) , but we are on track to win this league. We have been here before, and we triumphed!!! Keep the faith lads!

I'm not even confident when we play Dundee away we would get the 3 points it's that bad how we are playing.
The transfer window needs to be drastic like 8 players out and 5 or 6 in .

I've got sympathy in that they asked the guy to come in but didn't let him put his mark on the squad despite a massive profit. Fine, he's an established manager and has a right to do a bit of selling and buying. But until then, he should have kept the team playing in the way they were used to when it became clear they couldn't adapt.

He's not in the position Ange was in where he can immediately rebuild the team in his image. He inherited a bloated but winning team, not a threadbare outfit. As you say, he should have adapted his football to their abilities and then rebuilt when he had the opportunity.

As it stands now, I'm unsure how I see January going. Despite our financial strength, I can't see the board spending much without selling first. If I was them, I'd insist we sold some of the stock we have on board. I can't really see why they'd take any other attitude.

And you can naively choose to believe that, or see the situation for what it is. Most of the summer signings were already a done deal before Rodgers arrived. You honestly think he come here talking about progressing in Europe and expected to do so with the likes of Kwon, Tilio, Yang, Holm, Bernardo, and still having to select the likes of Mikey Johnston, Hart, Taylor, Scales, Turnbull, Forrest.

It’s not a treble winning team though, is it?

The best player in the team for a start got punted and hasn’t been adequately replaced.

The back up striker who was * outstanding, got patched and has yet to be replaced.

The team has got zero creative outlet.

It’s also lacking a criminally underrated centre back that didn’t lose one domestic game with CCV.

It’s also lacking our key central midfielder. The central midfielder that kept our best player this season in O’Riley on the bench.

So probably far from the same team if we’re honest.

    Miles off it.

I think Lawwell is trying to * Brendan over. Rodgers has probably made some comments in the past that have bruised his ego so he's brought him in on the promise of a big budget then tried to make a mockery of him.

If that’s the case we’re in major trouble if and when he leaves then, managers and agents talk to each other. They seek each other out for advice and to scope out whats the real deal, not always but enough of the time, and anyone that is serious and that you’d want here to bring the level up just won’t look at it at all.

At board level stringy, we’re ambiguous, we’re manipulative * there’s been times when we’re just outright * insulting in the case of our previous chairman Bankier but we’ve never crossed the line into being properly unprofessional intentionally.

I could imagine Lawell being like that tbf, but can’t imagine Desmond tolerating it, and feeling like he needs to lie to persuade somebody to do what he wants, Billionaires in general tend to not be that aware that what they say can be dismissed.

What team would you have started yesterday? What subs would you have then made to change it if needed? The squad is awful.

    Here the whole time
    Kwon signed 24/07/23
    Tilio signed 01/07/23
    Yang signed 15/07/23
    Holm signed 01/07/24
    Bernardo signed 01/09/23
    Nawrocki signed 26/07/23
    Lagerbielke signed 16/08/23
    Palma signed 30/08/23
    Phillips signed 31/08/23

    Rodgers appointed 19/06/23

Tilio and Holm arrived pretty much on the 1st day of preseason so, admittedly, those 2 were probably prearranged deals. The rest arrived deep into the summer and well after Rodgers appointment. Players arriving in late July and August are not done deals before 19th of June.

Out of the managers available at the time I can see why they went for him but even if we win the league I’d get him tae *.

Not * Berna, a Lb judged not good enough to play at Lb instead of Ralston a few weeks ago, for our most creative player at the moment who was one of few actually trying to make chances in Palma.

That team should also be more than good enough to beat Hearts. Stevie Naismith easily outhought and beat him tactically.

Wait, did he actually * say no surprise at the lack of desire? I can’t see the interview just a headline but is that an honest to * accurate quote?

He’s a *. I’m trying to think the last manager we had that I genuinely disliked. Barnes maybe but it was that long ago I can’t really mind.
