Seemed a wee bit hoarse in his Sky interview.
Must have given them a right bollicking at half time!

Good to see how * off he is.

The squad is an utter disgrace thanks to years and years of abysmal recruitment (some of that under Rodgers, in all fairness). Too much money wasted on dross that even a blind man can see won't be good enough for us.

It's * mad how inept so many people within the club are.

Surprised he hasn't looked at going into either a 3 5 2 or similar.

He's not got the current formation working, Kyogo is entirely isolated and opposition seems to have sussed how to play against us.

Think he needs to change something, given recent performances.

Hopefully he's backed in January to bring in a higher quality footballer that can make the change to play a system that suits his idea of how we should play and that allows kyogo the freedom to make the runs we've become accustomed to

Hopefully, but just not seeing much to suggest he knows how to use Kyogo and bring him into the game.

We lack shape in most areas of the park, which is partly why I'm suggesting he needs to do something different.

BRENDAN RODGERS admitted he was fuming with his players at half time in Perth.

And his team talk inspired the Hoops to a 3-1 win over St Johnstone after going a goal down after 45 minutes.

But he has now revealed what he said to his squad AFTER the victory over Craig Levein's men.

He said: "I said to the players afterwards, 'Don’t make me be like that again. Don’t ever make me feel I have to get to that level.'

"My teams will normally be front-foot, demanding and constant, but that’s not acceptable.

"No matter what success they have had over the last couple of years, there is a demand at this club to continually succeed.

"Yes, we’re missing players and dynamic players but in the second half you see the levels they can get to.

“It’s comfort. It’s the biggest pitfall in succeeding, that you become timid and lose your aggression.

"It’s easily done, but it’s my job to guard against it. It was just nowhere near the level.”

BRENDAN RODGERS has responded to claims he is eyeing another goalkeeper in January to replace Joe Hart.

The Celtic stopper has come under fire this season and fans are crying out for the Northern Irishman to make a change to his backline.

Hart, 36, joined the Hoops on a free transfer in the summer of 2021 under Ange Postecoglou and is now enjoying his third season at Parkhead after already winning five trophies in Glasgow.

He hopes to add to his collection of silverware this campaign as well with the Premiership title and Scottish Cup still up for grabs.

However, it's been suggested that Rodgers is planning to sign a new goalkeeper next month to take over the reigns from Hart for the remainder of the season.

The former Manchester City, Burnley and Tottenham star didn't do himself any favours in Perth against St Johnstone as he was at fault for the Saints' opener - along with in-form midfielder Matt O'Riley.

The 75-cap England international failed to command his box when Graham Carey fired a dangerous corner into the area in the latter stages of the first half.

The towering No.1 attempted to punch the ball to safety but he fumbled his clearance before Diallang Jaiyesimi pounced to break the deadlock.

Rodgers was then asked about Hart's recent dip in form after the match and was pressed on whether he is planning to sign a new goalkeeper next month.

But the manager insists it's not a priority and is focusing on strengthening other positions instead.

He said: “It’s not one for now. I want to improve the squad over my time here, and particularly over these next couple of windows."

It's clear that Rodgers is still a fan of Hart despite his recent costly mistakes.

The manager revealed this week that is aiming to add more experienced players to his squad when the transfer window opens in a few weeks time.

He explained that he needs more players like Hart in and around the dressing room to help the younger players who are coming through the ranks.

Rodgers said: “There’s no doubt experience is important. You cannot just have a team of really young players.

“You’re never going to extract that potential out of them unless you have experience beside them.

“We have young talents here that will develop and grow and that’s the model of the club.

“But to continue to improve and grow, you need to also have players who are established because they help bring those players up.

“And I am very, very confident that we can do that over the coming transfer windows.

“Also, for the level of games you play, if you solely rely on young players for game after game after game, then they don’t have it in their legs. You’ll find they will break down.

“Every club will always look to bring in young, talented players and that can be a good business model. You progress them and then fly and the club gets the money. But every player can’t be that.

“It’s balance because I enjoy working with young players and seeing them grow and develop.

“But equally, I love working with senior players who can help bring them through.

“They bring those habits and behaviours off the pitch.

“I see what Joe Hart brings to our squad. His commitment and enthusiasm passes on to the younger players.

“Being here the first time, Scott Brown was a massive influence on Callum McGregor.

“Kolo Toure was a great role model for Dedryck Boyata and the other centre-halves here in helping them get through games.

“Scott Sinclair was a proven player when I signed him and I knew what I was going to get with him. He was going to bring speed and goals to the team. You can’t dismiss that.

“You definitely need that experience in games.

“We’ve had one window in which a number of players were over the line to come in.

“But hopefully in the coming windows we can get the squad to a balanced level where it’s a mixture of experience and youth, but always with quality.

“Listen, you can be 23 or 24 and experienced. It doesn’t always have to be an older player.”

Fair play to him and good to see him basically calling out the lack of quality in the squad. Will anything be done about it? We will just have to wait and see and hope.

What he said after the game for me is what is wrong with this team the now rather than shape or system, there are too many in that team happy to just pass the buck, play the easy backwards pass, take forever on the ball then turn back.

So few want to get the ball in get turned or drive into space. McGregor should be playing balls through like he did for Kyogo regularly, getting shots off around the edge of the box and the same goes for the other centre midfielders.

Our wingers need to be attacking that back post when our other winger has it. Those in the team need to make those runs in to the box do something different to disrupt that deep block and create some confusion. The full backs need to do more than simply pass it back to the centre backs.

For me players need to start taking more responsibility for their own performances. Playing simple side ways passes backwards and square isn’t enough to merit a place in this team.

Brendan Rodgers: 'Daizen and Abada are back on the training field. Nawrocki and Lagerbielke fit, but must show why they deserve to be in the squad. Tilio fit but only made the Motherwell squad due to injuries to others.'

Whilst I am not his biggest fan of his coming back to the club.

I'm confident whilst he is here, we do not lose the league

I think we were pish to start the season, slowly got going, wewre good for about a month/6 weeks and then since Maeda went out its fell apart again.

We're struggling to create chances, apart from maybe the end of September until start of November we've relied recently and at the start of the season of scoring a lot of goals from outside the box and penalties, things that we can't really rely on to happen all the time.

Need Maeda or Abada or both back quick to add that pace and running in behind. Hatate also to add that ability to dribble through teams midfields and open things up a bit. But signings as well probably need another quick goalscoring wide player and another midfielder who can run with the ball and beat men.

We have had a lot of issues with injuries so far, and when Forrest and Yang are starting my hopes drop a bit because one is done and the other isn’t anywhere near it (for now). Kyogo also struggles without good service. Even with Maeda and Abada coming back we need a a creative player coming in on a transfer to give us better options.

I might have misheard, but I thought at the end when he was asked about whether recruitment discussions had taken place he looked and sounded pretty * off.

Would need to listen back to it though tbh

Thanks mate! Hopefully they have a few discussions soon because there’s a decent amount of deadwood to get through.
