Has now taken more points than Ange had last season after 8 games. We also hadn't been to ibrox this time last year.

While I'm yet to be fully convinced by the style or new recruits, it must be said that Brendan has done an excellent job so far. Domestically he's passed every test bar the one cup game with a huge injury list, and in Europe we've looked a good side, albeit an unlucky one.

Looking forward to seeing how things develop over the next seven months or so.

This is time now that we all started to get behind Brendan properly, they will give their new manager 100% support from the off, the grudges from the past have to be left behind.

To be fair though, at this point last season we had scudded the huns 4-0 at Celtic Park, scored 9 at Dundee utd, 5 at kilmarnock, 4 at Ross County, we were still in all domestic competitions and had taken a point in UCL.
All whilst not playing an insipid style of football.

Winning at Ibrox is much more impressive than a home win. Regardless if it was by 4. We were also scudded 2-0 to St Mirren. Lets not let facts get in the way of a good story though.....

Also had a fully fit team with GG available (I’m sure) and jota playing on the wing….

    This.

As good a manager as Ange was, there was a reason his Ibrox record was hardly blistering (1 win, 1 draw, 2 defeats in 4).

With a diluted support it was hard enough. Going there with zero support and winning? It's the ultimate test of character for any Celtic player and manager.

Well, one of those defeats came right at the start of a massive rebuild when the team was barely even half formed and the other came after the league was already won and half the team was rested.

But, as previously mentioned, why let facts get in the way of a good story eh. :86:
What do you think the reason for that record was?

A defeat against the huns is a defeat against the huns. Can dress it up any way you like. The first one against Gerrard was an improvement in performance level from the previous season but the bar was so low we were just happy to see some sort of improvement. We were literally all getting excited that day when we created any sort of decent chance. But we lost the game to what ultimately ended up being a * hun side. That's a fact.

The other came after the league was won, yes. But Postecoglou didn't go there to get battered, and yet we did. To act as though we didn't give a * about the game is naive. Yes we rested players, but Rodgers literally went there with half a team just weeks ago and won the game. It was doable, yet on that occasion back in May, we were brutal all-round. Literally could've been about 4 or 5-0. That's unacceptable against Rangers at any stage of the season.

The 2-2 draw saw us get bailed out with a late goal after a brutal second half performance.

The reason Ange found it so hard to win there was hardly down to us not being arsed or just bad luck, was it? It was because it was hugely difficult to battle both the hostility and the opposition constantly trying to get in our faces.

Are you actually disputing that winning at Ibrox is more impressive than a derby win at home?

The Japanese lads who have all just signed new contracts? Well, the 3 starters anyway.

Ange's style of football isn't a million miles away from Rodgers' style. Both are attacking, possession heavy and start with playing out from the back.

This fantasy you've created in your head is a weird one.

It's weird to downplay what a terrible result that was. Doesn't matter a bit when it happened, we should never be playing a weakened side against the huns, losing 3-0 against them was an abysmal.

Fair play for replying to him, I'm still struggling to see what his point is :56:

Can accept losing a derby game to the huns after a league has been won, so long as it's at Ibrox.

Can never ever accept a * hammering like May.
