He must look at the Huns tonight and think, I'm going to exploit their glaribg defensive weaknesses..

I know we've no been at it but you can't help but notice their weaknesses..

Painfully slow at the back. Midfield doesn't work. Narrow. A striker who can barely shift. Bullied. Chasing shadows..

It has to give us confidence. Them coming out will allow our runners to exploit them. It's why I'd start Maeda left for this on Tavernier. Definite gaps to exploit there for starters..

I hope he's brave on Sunday and throws in the new players.

I'm certain Phillips will start, but I'd also be starting Palma and our new LB. I'd maybe even start Bernardo as well.

I see our board as like one of those fellas in front of you at the shop blowing his giro on scratchcards. He knows he's got essentials to buy, but he can't resist just another wee punt. A mil for a winger from Soeul, a mil on a CB from Timbuktu. Maybe this time we'll win it big lads.

All that money we've spent, not a single guy who would have made our best 11 last year. * me off.

Na. Scratch cards are too much of a risk for our board.

More comparable to man who has been given a M&S food gift card for 200 quid, puts in a safe and walks 10 miles to the nearest food bank, in the hopes he can pick up a tin of salmon he can sell on Amazon. Pot noodles for the kids again that night.

It’s almost as if we didn’t sign Jota, CCV, Kyogo…

If there's no LB coming he simply has to get Taylor to invert or make a 3 with the 2 CBs out of possession, and get the width from Johnston. I can't watch him trying to overlap / beat a man all season.

He said he'd use the players provided to him, and develop them. That means he has to start thinking how to instruct those players to perform the best they can. Currently, he's failing at this with Taylor and Kyogo. To fix this, he has to break his ego and turn his brain on. Of course, he could rightfully grumble about no big signings, but his own words put him down one path.

I don’t think he sounded that happy on transfers after Philips and Palma.

Beyond that I actually thought there was a bit more about him than recently in interviews.

Obviously joking but using some 90’s references you almost want someone like Lawwell or Desmond to get a hold of Rodgers and be like Vince McMahon wanting the old Stone Cold back in the WWF back in the day or Mighty Ducks 2 looking for the real Gordon Bombay coach of team USA.

Get us the old Brendan Rodgers talking about how he went two up top when we were down to 10 men at Ibrox for the 3-2 win or took his team there and smashed them 5-1 and got the allocation cut as a result, won an unbeaten domestic treble. Strutting about, licking those lips, talking complete made up nonsense but with a bit of swagger and more importantly the clever tactical approaches that have seen him beat good teams in the past.

Yet again he uses the word powerful... we literally have zero power in the team. Powderpuff nevermind powerful

Wonder if we'll go to a back three with the lack of fullbacks signed..
