It was quire clear at the end of last season that the team can be improved upon.

This isn't a team with Messi, Xavi and Iniesta.

Barring maybe Kyogo and CCV I think we could relatively simply improve or at least match the quality of most starters.

Aye I think the biggest issue is persauding them to come. Money is an issue but not like it used to be. We can’t compete with clubs like Galatasaray though and that’s quite depressing.

Hes had 15m? 4/5 of the signings were chased and identified before he even joined us.

my main issue then is that he’s defended, several times, the fact that we haven’t gone out and spent big on 2-3 quality players - “marquees”

And the times he’s done it was getting asked about £15m territory money being splashed out, and that’s him tempering reality there, and there’s been a reason he’s being asked those questions. Everyone knows it’s inherently bullshit, but it drives an agenda there.

And he’s confirmed he wanted everyone of them, much like Moussa Dembele his first stint here. Fact is we have spent money. And the two ‘bigger’ money fees for us are two centre backs that are 100% Rodgers signings, that makes up bout £9m odd of that money.

The injuries are shocking just now, definitely, but my problem is it’s tactical and structural on the pitch. Not about players available.

Ange started with 13 first team players, and had to build quickly what he done, and when he didn’t have the guys available and it wasn’t quite working, you could * see what he was doing and that’s why he had the time with the fans he did. Because he started shockingly.

But we could see what he was doing.

Rodgers has a * great selection of players available, probably better than when he first took over, and can anybody see what he’s trying to mould the team into? I can’t.

They’ll come out more to give us more space to play in, that’ll help us a bit. But if they press our CB’s at goalkicks we won’t get that far to find out.

    Just enough, isn’t good enough.

For any other manager, just enough would have been fine, had the style of play remained the same. This is Brendan Rodgers. He literally splits the support 50/50. The only way this was going to work was with significant investment to appease 50% of the fans who absolutely did not want him in the dugout.

What you now have is a support already flaming with the lack of significant investment, watching 2 consecutive games with a manager who isn’t supported by half the stadium. It’s toxic central.

He should never have been given the job if there wasn’t going to be vast sums of money spent on exciting, proven quality. They were about. They were going for between £6m-£10m… there is no reason why we can’t be signing players excelling in leagues similar to ours. Absolutely none. We signed Holm from Norway. Seems a young, decent prospect for £3m… or we could have signed Vetlesen from Bodo for £5m… a guy with proven quality in Norway and Europe. Instant improvement to your midfield. Holm has improved nothing. Absolutely nothing.

He may go on to become a better player but we needed to get rid of some deadwood before we put more squad fillers into our bloated squad. We’ve got too many players. We could get rid of 11/12 and replace them with 3 players and we would be a far better team for it. That’s just wasting money and resources.

I dont think he is going to come out again and say he didn't want the signings or hasn't heard of them. Sure he signed them off but its clear at the point they were identified and signed that they weren't brought in to match his style of play. We find cheap punts that can be develop and be sold for profit without viewing how they will fit into our system.

If rodgers had a great selection available tell me who in our subs bench you would of had confidence in coming onto the pitch and changing the game today?

Aye I could see that to be fair, but Yang coming off for Forrest at the time was a confusing one he was the best player on the park for me.

I desperately hope this is a wake up call for the board to go out and really strengthen this window ... the fact that we're now 1 week away from our first hun game and we have a self admitted weaker team than last season is just unforgiveable.

Me. Id rather we had this now and it served as a kick up the * than us be fooled by a false dawn and then get stung in europe or a later date.

I see the evident issues, but we did still create a lot of chances today that we didnt take.

One thing that I will defend Rodgers for, is that he always done well against Rangers and was never phased by the occasion. A big performance and result will put out a few fires.

    Put it this way;

Hans Molemans Sevco have a better GD than us, and have a more than decent chance of going top a week from now.

    Let that sink in.

It's early yes. But we're actually staring down the barrel of chasing an absolutely atrocious Sevco side with an idiot manager at their helm.

DD has once again, spectacularly, dropped the ball with his hard on for Irish managers.

We would never have to witness a manager trying to stick a square peg in a round hole, or * around to the point of self harm in the transfer window, if Ange was still here.

Scratch that... If we had some * ambition and went and got Knutsen it wouldn't be happening either. Instead of chasing twice sacked narcissist epl manager to his holiday home in * Mallorca.

This club man. I swear to *. Every * time we think we've turned a corner and are heading in the long term direction we should be, it's like they set fire to your hopes and dreams.
It's like they actually WANT Sevco to win a title here and there to keep it interesting.

They could go the full signing dropping zero points at home to teams outside us and it wouldn't surprise me. The only team that might take something from them at Ibrox is Aberdeen, rest won't lay a glove.

It's why a win next week would change everything, suddenly we're 4 points clear despite a terrible start, and we have a 2 week break to bring * back into the fold.

A draw should be the minimum expectation, but a win would change the entire dynamic, even if it's incredibly unlikely at this stage.

I agree the window has been shambolic and the guys who are in charge of recruitment are incompetent and best and negligent at worst.

But I don't like the narrative that Rodgers is being badly let down etc. He's in charge of the team and he should still be able to field one that is able to perform better than the * that's been served up in the last 4 matches.

The tactics, style of play and the drop off in performances from the players is a damming indictment on his management so far. As bad as the window has been, it doesn't really justify how poor we've been in our games, especially the last two.

If anything he should be lighting a rocket under Nicholson and Lawwell's arses. See Ange in his first window: "maybe I haven't made myself clear enough". For the most part we were efficient and fast-paced in the transfer windows under Ange. We knew who we wanted and if we didn't get them we moved on quickly. I don't see any of that this time. Rodgers, like his team, has been too tentative in just about every aspect since his arrival.

    Sick of it.

Cant be sold for profit if the manager won't play them bcoz he doesn't rate them.

I'll put my neck on the line now and say that Kwon won't play 10 games for us before he moves on.

Don't have much hope for Tilio either

We are back to the shved/arzani days.

It's like we have completely ignored the past 2 years and the success we've had and just thought let's just go back to doing the daft * we use to do and hope our scattergun approach to signings finds us a couple of players we can make profit on.

Depending on dealings this week there is a strong possibility of us having a 1st team squad of over 30 players. We are back to the days of stockpiling mediocrity

All I was pointing out was that appointing Rodgers had to come with heavy investment. Not because we needed it(although we needed to spend big on a few priority positions before Mooy, Starfelt and Jota moved on) but because there needed to be something from the board to the fans for appointing a man who literally splits the support down the middle.

They’ve expected us to roll over and accept him back without going all out for progression. Throwing darts at Korean Second Division dart boards and hoping they stick. Absolutely no need for it either. We have never been in a better position to kick on.

The GB had an opportunity to call it out today as well. They decided to go begging to rangers for a * bunch of tickets for next week. Remember the sleeping at the wheel Tifo? Or the back Rodgers or lose him one in 2017? These make a point. The stadium applauded these tifos. The * across the road must be laughing their * off. Playing s game against St Johnstone and talking about derby tickets. Give me * peace.
