Really hoping Brendan gives Christie and Armstrong chances to prove themselves. Both were excellent for their previous SPFL teams but have struggled to get a chance in their natural positions so far at Celtic. After the back 5 I would like to see:

    Bitton- McGregor

    Armstrong/Rogic

    Roberts - Griffiths - Christie

That would give teams a lot of problem: pace, movement, finishing, passing, energy and pressing all in abundance with those players. It might look a bit too attacking but if Bitton gets back to form and McGregor continues to develop like he has been doing then we would have two very solid well rounded holding players that can play the way Rodgers likes. Unfortunately we will see Brown and Johansen playing instead, it will be interesting to see what players Rodgers brings in.

Still think we need another experienced attacking player. Wouldn't fancy relying on Christie to get us into Europe and beyond

Armstrong played out on the left for the majority of his time at Dundee Utd. The idea that he's being played out of position at Celtic is nonsense, he's just not good enough.

No, Borini is alright. Plays well in that wide forward role.

Nah not for me at all.

Don't see what he brings. Puts in effort but doesn't grab enough goals or assists.

He wouldn't be worth the money, but I quite like him as a player.

Wit? He played through the centre almost of all the time at Dundee United, even scored against us at Parkhead through a brilliant run through the middle.

90% of this video of his time at Dundee United comes from playing in the number 10 position for them. He's a brilliant player.

BRENDAN Rodgers has revealed that he has already held a positive discussion with Celtic captain Scott Brown over dinner.
The new manager invited the skipper – who is approaching a decade of service in Paradise - around to his house in London to spell out his vision for the Scottish champions and to hear Brown’s views about the club.
And he also told Celtic TV in an exclusive interview that he has chatted to several other members of the Hoops squad.
The Irishman said: “It was great. I had dinner with Scott at my house down in London and we were able to meet up and have a real good chat.
“He has been here a long time so he’s been here through good times and tough times and it was good to get his opinion on how things are, how it looks for him at the club and also for me to introduce myself to the club captain and talk through my ideas.
“It was very good and I’ve also spoken to a number of the players on the phone, but I’m really looking forward to the 20th, the first day back in and getting to meet all the players and talk through how we want to go forward.
Although the Hoops are in the midst of their close-season shutdown, Brendan Rodgers and his newly-appointed backroom team of assistant manager Chris Davies and head of performance Glen Driscoll are already hard at work as they prepare for start of the new campaign.
“We’ll be in on and off until the start of pre-season and the staff will be continually working in relation to our preparation for that," said the manager.
"The players’ first day will be on the 20th so that will be a good chance to meet all of them, talk through how we want to go forward, to meet more of the staff and then the hard work begins,” said the manager.
“It’ll be a long season, a tough season but I think it’s going to be a really exciting one and I can’t wait to get started.”

MORE than 13,000 supporters packed into the main stand at Paradise to welcome the dawn of the Brendan Rodgers Revolution at Celtic last month and the new manager says that special day has whetted his appetite for life as Hoops boss.
Fans flocked to the home of the Scottish champions to greet the former Liverpool manager to Glasgow, filling the stadium with noise and colour on a memorable day in the club’s recent history as a new era got underway.
The Celtic manager was stunned by the passionate reception the support gave him and he said he wants to see that type of atmosphere replicated throughout the entire stadium when he takes charge of his first match from the dugout.
“I’m really excited about that,” he told Celtic TV in an exclusive interview. “It’s going to be a day I’m really looking forward to in terms of walking out there as the official manager in a game context.
“It can be a really exciting season for us but for that we need the supporters. I really do want to see the stadium full.
“This is an iconic club that is graced around the world and is respected by so many supporters, so for us to sell that brand of Celtic Football Club around the world we want to make sure we see it’s packed.
“It doesn’t matter who we’re playing. The players really respond to it and you can have over 60,000 in there.
"The atmosphere they create, I felt it with 13,000. The noise level was incredible so to send that message out, not just to Scotland but around the world, having a full Celtic Park with over 60,000 with that noise, that’s something I’m really looking forward to seeing.”

BRENDAN Rodgers has hailed the experience and expertise of his new backroom staff and the new Celtic manager believes they will bring huge benefits to the first-team squad.
Within days of his appointment as Hoops boss, the Irishman recruited Chris Davies as his assistant manager and Glen Driscoll as head of performance.
He has worked with both men extensively all the way from the start of his coaching career at Reading to his spells in charge of Swansea and Liverpool.
And in an exclusive interview with Celtic TV, Brendan Rodgers spoke of his delight at being able to bring the duo with him to Paradise to help him in his quest to deliver success to the Scottish champions.
He said: "Chris, I’ve known a long time. He’s a good guy, very much like myself in that he likes to communicate well. His communication is open and he’s open to new ideas, and he's travelled the world in relation to looking at different teams for me
"And when I was Academy Director at Reading and working in the youth department, Chris was my youth team captain so I saw skills in him at that point when he was about 16
“He then went on to further education and did his degrees but we’ve always been in contact. When he moved back into the country I took him to work with me at Swansea. We had a great time there and we went to Liverpool and he’s an outstanding young coach.
“He’s got a great mind for football and I think the players will really benefit from working with him.
“Glen, I’ve worked with for many years at that same time at Reading. He was very much overseeing the sports science and physiotherapy side of things at that time. He then got head-hunted by Chelsea before I went there a couple of years later.
“He’s had great experience working with top-class players in a top-class environment at the highest level. He was there for nearly 10 years and we worked together there when I was coaching the youth team and the reserves.
“I moved on to become a manager and he stayed as the physical conditioner for Guus Hiddink and Carlo Ancelotti. He worked with Scolari and Jose Mourinho so he’s had a real lot of experience and when he left Chelsea I was able to take him with me to Swansea and Liverpool.
“His role will be to build that bridge between the onfield preparation and also the medical side, which is very important.
"The medical team here are very good and Glen will come in and provide that hybrid for the sports science team to understand how I work on the field and he’ll work to condition the players also."
Over the past few days the manager has had his first taste of the club’s Lennoxtown training base and he has been thrilled at the condition of the facilities and pitches.
"It’s beautiful," he said. "I’d never been to Lennoxtown before. I was aware of Barrowfield where they’d been for a long time but this is a great place to come and work.
"The groundstaff are doing a fantastic job here in preparing the pitches and, of course, if you’re going to play good football you need good training fields.
"The facility inside has everything there to develop and work to a high level and the staff have been fantastic so it’s a great place to come and work."
