Hopefully Rodgers praise of Brown is birthday card pish homage to the incumbent captain. Cuz if he hitches his wagon to Brown, so much for the Rogers revolution.

I'm certainly interested to see how Rodgers will utilise Brown, if at all. Not going to the Euros could be a blessing in disguise for Broony, who needs time to recuperate after injuries clearly hampered his form in the second half of this season.

When fit and motivated, Brown is a very good player and like others, he'll want to impress Rodgers. Holding his recent form against him is fickle as there were spells when he was out of the team that had people commenting on how much we missed him. Plaudits were regularly heading his way from supporters at the beginning of the season too.

I think a striker will likely be Rodgers' primary transfer target, with defence his second priority, given the current squad.

 

Well who knows Brown might turn back the clock and proof many wrong.

 

He's only 30.

 

Rodgers singled him out in his first press conference in admiring Brown, he'll get the best out him again. 2nd half of the season he was clearly playing through injury, rushed back too quick.
Was a poor season for many of the top performers the season before, new boss in they will all be eager to impress and need to perform well to keep the jersey.

 

I was hoping BR would be a bit more coy with Brown, non-commital or whatever, but he seems to be fully committed. Managers always seem to put huge emphasis on characters and leaders, I can see him a starter.

 

Brown will definitely be starting, even tho I've been a critic of him there's not a chance that Rodgers will not play him. Rodgers knows the importance of having someone with his personality and attributes on the pitch, his intensity is something that Brendan will like also.

 

Anyone who thought for one minute that Brown wouldn't be a big part of Rodgers plans is a silly sausage.

 

The guys been injured for about 4 months there's * all wrong other than that

No reason for him not to, unless he's still injured.

A fully fit Brown is something we need. If not, then what's the reason that 3 or 4 managers have all stuck by him? Don't say that it's because he was better then, because the same has been said from a few of the same people since then.

I know who's views I'd rather trust and it's not someone on an internet forum who obviously doesn't know much about football if they think that Brown is either * or past it.

Back on topic:

Hope to hear of a signing in the next couple of days. Would be good if it's the Wigan striker, Grigg.

 

Id argue that if you think Brown is capable football wise then you know nothing about football.
