    's injury: "He won't be available for the game tomorrow, but we're very hopeful he will be ready for next week."

    BR on
    @Tom_Rogic
    's Asian Cup call-up: "Tom wants to play in the game on the 29th, but he also wants to play for Australia. It's a position the player doesn't need to be in. We hope we can find a solution."

    BR on if
    @ryanchristie2
    and
    @mikeyjohnston10
    could potentially lead the line for #CelticFC: "We're quite flexible with that. They're obviously not out-and-out strikers but they can play in that position and the key thing is that they want to score goals."

    BR on #CalMac2023: "He's a top player. He makes the game look simple when it's not. For #CelticFC, it's great news and for him, it's a great reward.

    BR on #CELDUN: "We want to continue on our good play over the past few months. We bounced back really well during the week. The quickness of our game and the combinations, plus we kept another clean sheet."

    BR: "Dundee are a team that will be difficult for us. They'll look to play very tight and compact. We'll have to work hard for the win

    BR: It was probably one of the most enjoyable games I’ve been involved in during the two-and-a-half years I’ve been here.

    BR: “I really enjoyed watching us today. We kept the pitch nice and tight and we were really fresh and dynamic.

    BR: “
    @DundeeFC
    have shown this season that they’ve got some good players but we really stopped them playing and we were really good in our defensive organisation to press the game. It allowed us to play in their half.”

    BR: “Some of our speed, movement and play was incredible. Only downside was only getting three goals but overall was really pleasing.”

    BR on
    @mikeyjohnston10
    : “He was very good. As a young player coming through here, he has an instinct to score. He was exceptional in his play.”

    BR: “A mention for
    @anthonyralston8
    as well who I thought was very good. He’s back to where I want him to be. He wasn’t at that level because of his injury. He defended really strong and is a hard guy to get past.

    BR on
    @Tom_Rogic
    : “Tom will play in the Aberdeen game and then fly out after that, as far as I’m aware. It’s a shame for him and us.

    BR on
    @kierantierney1
    : “We wanted to leave him to recover but he’ll be fine for the next two games.
    @Oedouard22
    as well.”

    For those who are in love.....
    Player's rested that we haven't needed to chance with big game's coming up..

    Only us in the league have been able to do that the last 2 game's which is a big advantage..

    Please don't change our formation Brendan. Personnel to a point? Fine. That today and at home is the way we should go....wherever we go domestically..

    Anyone frustrate it takes injuries for Brendan to give youth a chance. Christie only got look in cause injuries. Same with ralston and Johnston
    We keep seeing Eduardo doing nothing past few weeks. Young Mickey could been giving a chance sooner.
    Young Morgan should be starting few games for us. Giving him proper chance. Looks like going takes injuries before he start games too. Sinclair been poor past two months par yesterday game and young Morgan not getting a start.

    Or maybe just maybe they weren’t quite ready to start until now. Months of conditioning before throwing them in at the deep end. Preparing them as best as possible before risking them.

    If we hadn’t injuries I don’t think we would seen Christie or other guys giving a chance par old subs appearance.
    He should start them with main team. One at time instead changing whole team for one game.
    Young Johnston has scored more than Eduardo has past month in last two games.
    He should been giving chance before now
    He with main squad now for 18 months.

    BRENDAN Rodgers has given a strong indication that Dedryck Boyata, Mikael Lustig and Kieran Tierney will all return to the Celticside for the matches with Aberdeen and Rangers away this week if they are fit due to their big game mentality.

    Rodgers admitted that youngsters Mikey Johnston and Anthony Ralston were in contention for starts in the Ladbrokes Premiership matches at Pittodrie on Boxing Day and Ibrox on Saturday as a result of their performances against Motherwell and Dundee at Parkhead last week.

    However, the Northern Irishman looks set to bring back Boyata at centre half, Lustig at right back and Tierney at left back for the final two games before the winter shutdown because of their extensive experience of such important fixtures.

    Victories over Derek McInnes’s side and Steven Gerrard’s team away from home would give the double treble winners, who are attempting to win their eighth consecutive Scottish title, a huge lift before the break and extend their lead in the league.

    Boyata (hamstring), Lustig (concussion) and Tierney (groin) all missed the 3-0 victories over Motherwell and Dundee, but they are expected to be available again.

    Ryan Christie and Tom Rogic, who had been out with ankle and knee injuries respectively since the Europa League defeat to Salzburg earlier this month, both featured on Saturday.

    Rogic won’t be involved against Rangers because he will fly out to the United Arab Emirates after the Aberdeen game to play for Australia in the Asian Cup.

    Asked about Boyata, Lustig and Tierney, Rodgers said: “They automatically come into the squad. It’s been great to see Mikey and Tony being outstanding, but they are big players.

    Tony has shown his defensive qualities, but he’s not only been hard to beat. He’s kept the field compact and he has technically and tactically developed in terms of when he presses and where he receives it.

    “That’s what I want. He’s shown over two games that he can do it. We’ll look to pick the best team and we’ll assess where we’re at in the next few days.”

    But he added: “You can’t doubt them (Boyata, Lustig and Tierney) in terms of what they have done for me over the last two and a half years. They have been getting better and you can’t doubt their mentality.

    “Okay, sometimes we’ll lose games. But we had 29 games at home in a year and have won 24, drawn three and lost two, to Aberdeen on the last day when we were waiting for the trophy and against a very good Salzburg side. It shows you consistently where these boys are at. There’s no doubt they will turn up.”

    Meanwhile, Rodgers also stressed he expects Odsonne Edouard, the French striker who missed the Dundee match on Saturday due to an abductor injury, to be fine for both the Aberdeen and Rangers matches. “We just shut him down for a few days and we’ll assess him over the next few days,” he said. “He should be okay.”

    Meanwhile, Rodgers expressed optimism that Leicester City will allow Filip Benkovic, the Croatian centre half who netted the third goal for Celtic against Dundee at the weekend, to remain at Celtic on loan until the end of the 2018/19 campaign.

    “They are within their rights to assess it but let’s hope he stays,” he said. “They have a few young players out on loan playing – Harvey Barnes at West Brom and Filip here. They are getting games in their legs and you see the value of Filip to us. He’ll continue to play and he’s been superb for us.”
