    NOT reading the replies, he’s chucked it why did he change the formation in a winning position???? Then there’s a RB that needs a walking stick

    We can all see the defensive mistakes how can he not????

    All night their wide men were over runing us and had at least 5-10 yards of space when it was switched with no one marking them.

    Its * basic stuff every game.

    I still love the guy and want him to stay (and it would be dumb to think different after salzburg were already heavy favourites) but time and time again it's the exact same mistakes costing us games and time and time again he doesn't seem to rectify any of these mistakes. Lustig should of been permanently dropped after the Athens games, with gamboa and ralston covering him, yet he's free to play almost every game with almost all our mistakes coming his side. Changing half the squad away to what is our two hardest away games this year(Hearts and Killie), i don't see the logic in that at all, and his post-match conferences are the same spiel every time.

    A lot of negatives there, and i've defo been a bit of a moany * the last 2 months, but it's simple, irritable things that are easy enough to fix, and he isn't fixing him. I'll again say i love the guy but what is he playing at?

    Go back to when the whistle blew for 45 minutes, defending like heros, 1-0 up, protecting our defence very well, Mulumbu protecting the defence with Ntcham and McGregor defending the gaps between full back and centre back. Maybe not holding onto the ball as well as we could but that was down to the players, not the way were defending.

    Now if you’re Brendan Rodgers; what do you do? We nearly went 2 up on the cusp of half time. He changes it, McGregor steps up a wee bit and Ntcham for some bonkers reason goes sort of high right.

    Where did their goals come from? From that flank of the pitch. He blatantly, blatantly just opened up that side of the pitch so we could ‘keep the ball better’ and we got * punished for it. The first half proves he knows how to defend, the second half proves he doesn’t know the value of it.

    All that needed was keep what you’re doing guys, they’ve not even had a shot on target, they’re taking long shots and throwing in aimless balls, we’re controlling this game despite not having the ball but, when you get the ball, be more careful with it, don’t need to take the risky pass, just be more careful in possesion.

    You don’t change the full shape, a very succesfull shape at that, to try and win back possesion in a game like that. Itms * insane.

    Probably not bigger than ours, considering we have about 40 senior players.

    Aye heavily defeatist in the press must transend to the squad, one of my major gripes with BR.. no matter how accurate his analysis of the gulf in class may be..

    Tbh I was prepared for heavy European defeats under BR but thought when we clicked under him we could achieve great things in Europe..

    This campaign isn’t a write off yet, but there are several glaring inadequacies that have simply not been addressed under him and that’s unacceptable..

    Yep..

    Human nature. Don't care what he's saying in private. The player's will know what he really believes in public..

    We're regressing. He's told us his self..

    No chance we're getting out this group now mate. Forrest out who is our only threat down the whole right. Lustig up against Werner away in Leipzig. Doesn't bare thinking about..

    Think the reaction to tonight’s result is a bit OTT in my opinion... and that’s coming from someone who can be and has been highly critical of Rodgers and the team.

    We had Hendry playing for starters due to Ajer and Benkovic being injured. An even bigger loss, our captain Scott Brown. Plus I don’t think Eddy or Griff are 100% fit.

    Salzburg fancy their chances of getting into the final/semi finals this year. They were robbed in the semis last year. Unbeaten at home in 2 years and won 9/9 this season. They have some of the most promising players in Europe. We were never expected to get a result.

    On another note, There is no doubting the calibire of player we have at the moment is unacceptable. Some of Rodgers signings have been shocking but the board have also failed to back him to the required extent. We need;

    Quality RB - Lustig costing us goals almost every game
    Quality CB - Boyta and Benkovic not be here next year
    Quality GK - Gordon good shot stopper but not comfortable on the call or commanding enough for crosses
    Quality CM - Ntcham too hold and cold for me, don’t think he has enough fire in his belly
    Quality ST - Moussa replacement

    BR:The best team won. I don't think there's any doubt about that. We were solid in the first-half and we limited their opportunities which left them really frustrated but we gave away poor goals.

    BR: “We didn't defend well enough for a few of the goals. They got in front and our biggest issue was ball retention. We didn't hold on to the ball well enough.”

    BR: “At this level you have to be able to secure the ball and play with limited touches in order to have a rest. We weren't able to do that.”

    BR: “The players gave everything. They worked very hard. They'll hurt after that but there are points of encouragement and lessons to learn.

    BR on
    @ScottBrown8
    : “I don’t think he'll be available for the weekend.
    @mulumbuofficial
    came in with limited games and I thought he did really well.”

    BR: “We’ll recover now and get ready for the weekend.”

    Lustig will cost him the job. Lustig was caught out position a few times in the first half. The defended deep and simply got lucky that no one ran at him in the first half. He was inevitably exposed. The defense is a disgrace. We played with two men down and Boyata who in my eyes has winged his way all the way through his entire career doing the basics that are not good enough. I'd sack every one of the injury prone pretend defenders, reserve league sub standard want aways who should not be in the job. They are costing us in every big game. Jack Hendry is a bad omen.
