    Thoroughly depressing situation.
I, like everyone and his cousin, have opinions on board, management, tactics, players, recruitment etc...

Ultimately it doesn't really matter what we as supporters think. When club'* situations like this the manager usually takes the bullet. Board won't go anywhere and no club can massively overhaul it's squad in a single window.
I've always believed Brendan wanted another crack at the premier league, I suspect his rather large ego felt he'd wrap up a ten and walk into a role down there. As it currently stands I don't believe he's 'chucked it' as he needs to be a resounding success here to further his career.
Something is clearly amiss within the club. If he doesn't, or can't, fix things his whole career plan is *.
That's the only positive I can truly grasp at the moment. He needs to turn this, he has to or let's be frank he's never getting a premium job again.
Right now I'm for keeping him and giving him a chance to fix us. If a change is to happen it would have to be before the Jan window. I'm sure the board see it like that aswell.

Yep. We're * moving forward regardless..

He should've been a * like figure walking in demanding and getting whatever he wanted after his successes..

Only times we show any ambition and spend serious cash is when its all gone to *. E.g After mowbray and After Ronny. Dont be suprised to see the money we should have spent this summer be spent in one of the next two windows. Who spends it tho is another question

But clubs can do it in a single window. Hearts and rainjurz have and are above us in the table.

    18 in at hearts
    15 in at rainjurz

Yes. That is when any manager should be judged. What does continue 'to drop points' mean ? I can't see us winning our last 32 games so again yes. If you mean if we drop so many points then I genuinely don't see us winning the league then, yes I will change my mind. That's certainly no the case after 6 games though.

the players we have at present have the talent & skill to perform at a much higher level.. when they turn up. They seem to turn up against Sevco so we know they can do it..

For me this is down to Brendan NOT getting the players up for games and the * low tempo performances he accepts every week. Most fans can see we have struggled for last 18 months.. with the odd good performances papering over the fact that we have not put a decent run of wins together in all that time

Effort & Application have been missing from everyone bar KT.. he is our only stand out performer week in week out. Celtic pay the best wages in Scotland and too many of our players think its ok to give less than 100% on the park.

This is an attitude problem and now that we are Sixth in the league maybe some of them will realise that they are not winning * all while they keep playing this slow tempo passing game that is boring to watch and brings no fear to the opposition.. Brendan sets out the team & the tactics so the buck stops with him

Not the type to do that ,if he wasnt happy wae the answers he got from the meeting he would leave ,which suggests they will pull out all the stops to make January's window a happy one for us all ,we can only wait and see ,but atm the team need us to get behind them not on top of them ,they dont deserve * from us when we have lost half of a team ,a very important half ,and they have still to be replaced .

The squad is still bloated with mediocre players:
    De Vries
    Hendry
    Simunovic
    Gamboa
    Commper (the imposter)
    Ralston
    Hayes
    Allan
    Benyu

Lustig looks done, Kouassi does not look like he will ever be a first team regular. Bitton the same.
BR signed 7 of these 12 players. Where is the "quality over quantity"?

I do expect us to drop the odd point along the way put the way we are playing at the moment its seems we are in danger of dropping more than we should.
I wasnt just judging him on the last six games ,the second half of last season we were pretty poor aswell.
I genuinely hope he can turn this around but im not confident he will.

At least til january, by then we'd have faced every team home and away so a lot more to assess, plus we can see what happens in Europe. I remember we were 15 pts behind oldco in november under Lennon and people wanted him gone but he managed to turn it around by January.

We are 6 games in I can't believe people are thinking the manager is needing sacked ffs.

For all that I've been critical of Rodgers today and over the last few months, Lawwell is the single biggest obstacle that will prevent us from progressing.

Replacing Rodgers with anyone else may lead to a short-to-medium improvement in our results but Lawwell will always be on hand to temper any wild ambitions of raising the bar higher than its been for the last decade as he knows that will cost money.

15 years in the job now. While he's obviously done good things for the club, isn't it about time that we got someone new in?

Fresh ideas, fresh innovation and a chance for an honest conversation about how we balance shareholder interests with football supporter interests.

We won a treble, how is that not near perfect? Winning every trophy on offer in the country is stuff most clubs dream of, don't tell me that a slow start to this season makes that any less of an achievement.

Jesus. We are going through a lull. Imagine asking for the sack of a guy who has just won a double treble. Sacking managers to soon is daft doesn't work well for English teams. He will turn this season around just needs to boot players up the *.

Times like these are when we'll see how good a manager he is. Sing when you're winning is one thing, it's time to see what he's made of. I still trust him.

@Vertie posts a couple of pages back show that it's not just been a problem for the first couple of months of this season. Dropped points in 10 of our last 19 league games since February. Someone else has said we haven't won 4 league games in a row since May 2017.

Those two statistics are * abysmal. So the idea that it's just a tough start to the season and that we shouldn't forget what happened in the past 2 seasons...well that's bollocks. Yes we won back to back trebles, which is an incredible achievement. But let's not kid on that last season was anywhere near as good as Rodgers' first season. Our football last year was turgid. Yes we had the odd game where we turned it on, but by and large it was boring and predictable.

Season 2016/17 we scored 106 league goals and finished with 106 points. 34 wins and 4 draws.

Season 2017/18 we scored 73 league goals and finished with 82 points. 24 wins, 10 draws and 4 defeats.

We were never going to go a second season unbeaten, but that drop-off is remarkable. It's clear to see that there's been a regression, which is actually becoming even worse this season.

When it comes to the backing from the board. Rodgers hasn't been backed as much as he'd like...however when you actually look at his signings since he joined, it's not too surprising that the board don't trust him with plenty of money.

As of today, how many of his signings would get in our strongest XI? Ntcham, yes. Eddy is a maybe and Benkovic has looked good so far, albeit he was a panic loan. So you're talking, at a push, 3. He's effectively using Deila's team with a couple of exceptions...after 5 transfer windows at the clubs.

I won't list his signings because this post is long enough, but it doesn't make for pleasant reading.

At the end of the day, he is part of the problem at present. He sets out the team and he sets out the tactics. The team have been absolutely abysmal for nearly all of the season so far.

At the moment, I see absolutely no tactics bar playing it sideways across the back and the box. Regarding the team, we have more than enough to beat every team in the country. When teams go through a successful period and the opposition suss out how to stop them, the manager tweaks it to freshen it up and go with a new approach. We haven’t done that and continue to play the same mundane, inept football in the hope that we will get a result. A double treble winning team that has no belief to beat teams. Someone explain that to me.

If Rodgers can’t kick baws and get his team motivated then I fear we are up shitcreek with the paddle nowhere to be seen. Ever since we failed to sign McGinn, it went downhill and Rodgers’ demeanour has slowly degraded to the point where he now looks abject and is telling us we should be worried. He has to turn it around.
