Double treble, yes. Playing no * up here. We have been going backwards since his first season. Last season, should have sent alarm bells. We have been screaming for a RB, CB, CM and in the event Moussa left a CF.

He as the Manager should have addressed these positions. Or at least came out and told the fans he was getting no backing from the board and could NOT get the players he wanted.

I have no gripe with Moussa going. He came to us for peanuts and the club have made £20m selling him on? Whatever we thought of him as a player. That kind of money cannot be turned down by our club. The same as the £9m for Boyata, should have been accepted.

BR, is as big a culprit in this *. The end of the transfer window and we bring in a 31 year old free agent and a CB on loan for a season.

Disappointed in his part in all this, but there is a huge letdown from the board too as he has said about players lost and how they'd need replaced, which hasn't happened.

With Dembele gone Rodgers will be seething. He is coming out and saying things to appease the board but inside he will be thinking it is time for him to move on. We are far weaker as a squad than last season, we have not brought any flair players in to help the players we have. The squad needed freshness, the same players that plodded through last season are expected to do it again but with the knowledge we have lost players that could come in and give them a break. 2 strikers to go through the season, a midfield that has lost its spark, a defence that has lost its confidence. Don't be fooled with the way we played on Thursday, that team were no better quality than the teams the Huns have played.We have stagnated to the point we are regressing.Time will tell if Berkovic is the answer, if he is but then gets injured, do we rely on Hendry again? Rodgers will be making escape plans already, who can blame him. If the unconceivable happens on Sunday and Huns continue their run of luck and beat us, it will be sooner rather than later. To be in a position of strength and not reinvest in the team is shameful , we have allowed the Huns to get closer to us by making us weaker not by them having significant quality. I don't think even a Triple Treble would keep Rodgers here beyond this season.

Once upon a time we were signing guys from leagues all across the world, granted not all of them were great but a fair few of them were top players for us. Now look at us, only players we seem
To have any knowledge of are reserves at richer teams than us (that we get on loan, or course) or * SPL players. No imagination or effort goes to our recruitment at all.

 

He may owe them nothing but he is a professional and gives respect. He will also want to keep some harmony within the team., to try and rid the negativity that can and will creep in. That's why Dembele has gone. Also he is mindful of the Media, always looking to write a negative story about us , especially with the second Glasgow Derby of the season coming up tomorrow. Media would have a field day if he spoke what he really thought. Just my opinion.

 

I'm always a fan of truth. If now isn't the right time, he can tell it after the Huns game. Also, there's no point being a professional if the other side is preventing you from doing your job the best you can.

A bit veiled for my tastes. Actual conflict between him and them, would be good for the club in the long term, because the inside mechanisms of how the club operates, could be revealed. To progress from the EL groups and even win another treble takes the focus off want is happening within the Club. I know at the end of the day we are a business but as fans we want what is best for OUR team. We started the close season in full fan fare, knew lights, pitch, and a multi million pound sponsorship. That's all well and good but what about the team? The whole transfer window has been a disaster, with not much being said.We want to see progression, from a position of strength the board seem to have taken the easy option. I was brought up supporting Celtic and have done for 50 years. I have had to endure years of the biscuit tin mentality, the Macari, Barnes, and other disasters. First time since Mr Jock Stein we have had position of continuous strength and domination domestically, we want to see it continue, progress in Europe beyond Group stages of CL. Both young and exciting prospects, but not been really used yet. But there is a dilemma there, Morgan is our player, Arzani on loan . Who gets more game Time? But throwing them in too early when the team is struggling is not ideal

 

If there’s one thing BR is expert at, it’s developing young players.. they will be fed in when it suits and used accordingly along with Johnston..

 

Naive to expect him to come out a openly criticise his employers.

 

I dread the day he leaves us, we're in real trouble when he does.
