I know Lawwell is due getting it in the neck and rightfully so, but Brendan isn’t as blameless as some make out. He has brought in his own guys like Congerton then Toure joined on the coaching staff also, what are these guys doing for a wage? One isn’t identifying any defensive targets, whilst the other isn’t helping us lose stupid goals time and time again. We have lost any momentum we had from the last two seasons right now.

Not defending him wholly but he has been hampered with injuries. He has tried to change the way we were playing by going 2 up front, in pre season we looked the sharpest we have for that time of the season. But Eddy's injury was the start of it. Him and Moussa were on fire together, creating spaces for each other making it easy for the wide players to find them. Then Moussa got injured as well, we resort to one up front again and as last season went, when we set up like that we find it difficult to break teams down. We are predictable when we play 1 up front, its too easy to defend against, balls into the box will always find an opposition player when its packed. A side the densive nightmare it s his constant tinkering and constant changing the team which is hampering us ( although injuries haven't helped). but players need to develop relationships, get momentum going, consistency. He has to get it right pronto or this season is going to be a cluster *.

just watched his after match interview..

he said he's disappointed and looked it.. big *' deal.. where is the anger? where is the frustration?
i get that he wants to be measured in his responses but tonight was NOT GOOD ENOUGH and he is the many who can change the personel

He even stated that the players stopped following the plan and played their own way! and that they were not good enough to do that
    What the actual *?

What is John Kennedy's role in the coaching set up? He was brought in for sentimental reasons after a horrific injury curtailed his career but sentimentality only goes so far. We need someone in the coaching set up who knows how to organize a defence. Clear the * ball. know how to stop crosses coming into the box, have leaders at the back and not be rag dolled by inferior players. Our defence is weak. We need a few hard * who take no prisoners.

Thats the bit that got me.....if the players are not following his gameplan and doing their own thing instead then bad form and a poor defence is the least of our worries. Im starting to think that theres big problems behind the scenes AND in the dressing room.

Sorry i should clarify i ment more about the lack of creativity in his team rather than the sacked aspect of it.

First time he’s had any real compitition since he came here, will be interesting to see how he handles it.

Slipping up in the league will now be a huge deal, where as in last 2 years it didn’t matter. I’m looking forward to it in a way. Not gonna lie I love competition.

The way I'm reading it some on here want rid of a manager that's done something no other manager in Scottish football has done win back to back trebles.... he's a Celtic fan and some on here would have us believe he's chucked it .
Injuries and loss of form are costing us as well as the Belgian effectively going on strike tae wangle a move ... I say let the * rot.

But for fucksake back our manager he's done great for us ... we lose him now we lose 8 in a row never mind 10

So, let’s see what BR has to turn this around. Does he have the strength of character to stay loyal and dignified even in the worst times of his tenure?

He has been strolling in the breeze until now (domestically).

He could easily blame the board about lack of signings and walk away (if things continue this poorly).

Hope he stays, gets a couple quality signings before the window closes and gives Honey G the skelping of his managerial career.

That win might just be the catalyst to get the socks up and back to business.

A loss in that game, (heaven forbid!) could also be the catalyst to buck up their ideas.

We CANNOT lose this league, can we???

after seeing that interview it’s clear he has given up. Our team looks the same.

It’s like WGS last year, Lennon, as well the board has failed to back the manager.

I would also say that Rodgers needs to take some of the blame as well. Between tactics and sticking by Gordon and the defence as well he has to take some stick for it.

I really can’t see us winning the league this season if we don’t add to the side before the window closes.

They have got better and have the feel good factor and are in form.

I feel * scunnered and just want to wake up from this bad dream.

Lawwell and the board need to hand their hands in shame because we have let them drop the call again. If we lose the league this season because they don’t get Rodgers quality at the back they will dominate and we will end up in the red once again.

    * sick

I will never want rid of Brendan Rodgers. To my way of thinking the board are pushing him out. Yep someone had a thread on self sabotage I'm thinking how many times have I seen this play out over the years. We never push on from a position of strength.

Get a grip of yourself. Found out... he’s going through a tough spell, everyone does.

We’ve got a week or so to sort our * out which I’m confident we’ll do.

He’s clearly * off though and is beginning to take it out on the players, which is fine as certain ones aren’t pulling their weight, however there’s a fine line between a boot up the * and alienating yourself.

The guy has done an incredible job up to now, broken all sorts of records and done things that will likely never be repeated again, and in his third season here is going through the first ‘poor spell’ of his career here. Now that make him above criticsm, however the guy has earned the right to be given a bit of time and funds to put it right, which he’ll get I’m sure of.

Folk * the bed cause rangers have won a few games will feel a bit embarrassed by themselves when it’s all said and done I think.

This has the feel of the end when O’Neill left, a massive wage bill without champions league football is unsustainable. There is always one way this ends and it’s not good.
