What does Rodgers expect though he came out in January and said he got everything he wanted anybody could see it was a brutal attempt at strengthening the team.did he think covering for whoever is in charge of transfers wasnt gonna do exactly the same penny pinching * this time around. He keeps mentioning quality players John mcginn isn't a quality player by any stretch of the imagination,so I can't see this being his main gripe

This was the first thought that came to my mind after watching that interview.

Brendan's been through all this * before with Liverpool and the Fenway Group, so I guarantee you he will not want to work under circumstances were he can't get a player that is achievable because of miserly penny pinching.

This is the * that puts you off man, really does :triplomur:triplomur:triplomur

he's probably made this club it's fittest it's been both on and off the pitch, yet from someone on the outside trying to look in, he's being treated like every other manager before him.

Given the records he set, getting into CL proper at the first time of asking unlike everyone else, undefeated league win, back to back trebles the board should be giving him nigh on everything he demands.

I do wonder if there have been other targets in the background, Brendan has identified, but have fallen through for similar reasons to McGinn.

Think Brendan has McGinn and Arzani earmarked to replace Roberts and Armstrong for whatever reason they aint getting delivered and he said we need to replace that quality 'at least'.

Lawwell needs to match the ambitions of BR. If not there is only one outcome. BR will walk away.

I get the feeling that the club like all the rest of Scottish football want back to the old status quo. It was fun for a while but there's more money to be made from the rivalry with sevco? Seriously did we really believe that we would be allowed to go on winning and breaking records that no one else had any hope of ever attaining? I think it's a case of you've had your lot the laughs and all but now to get back to it. Brendan will walk if this is the case and I don't blame him. He's served his purpose as far as the club are concerned and they know that no matter what they do next we are all back on board!

I get your point but he has every right too. He is about to going into one of his biggest games as our manager completely unbacked. I know we are cash rich but Brendan deserves far more financial backing than he is getting. Brendan has brought in more money (between prize money and selling players) than he has spent and succeeded whilst doing so. Time to back him properly

Dont care if the huns put in more of a challenge maybe even winning a cup , as long as 10 is achieved.

    Brendan isn't an idiot..

Since he's came up, he's had the media on smash. Couple time's here or there he's had to clamp a couple of *'s but they know no to * about with him..

He's said thing's that many of us have found strange and bizzare at different points but he clearly does it for a reason..

I think we're all in agreement that he's clearly no happy and in tune with 1 or 2 upstairs and he's quite right. He should be virtually untouchable and if a back to back treble winner, champion's league back to back qualifier who has transformed relatively the same struggling side with an invincible season thrown in...isn’t gonna be sufficiently backed to his liking...then no one will..

I'm hoping we're playing a belter of a game here and pull some cracking business out the bag when the English window shuts. Or am I being naive?

We're in a good place and still have plenty time left..

We know we need strengthening at the back and more quality depth though..

If we were to get beat tomorrow though. You can feel the negativity bubbling because of the lack of business..

With our success, being on the same page should be a doddle naturally. Concerning slightly that it's not and apparent now that Brendan has been making excuses for the board in previous window's as well about quality and the defence being fine....I think today tells us that is rubbish..

Waiting until the English window closes isn't going to help if all the good free agents are gone by then.

Watched that Press conference in full and it was full of worrying signs from BR. He looked and sounded hacked off and alluded many times that the board have basically failed to deliver what he wanted this summer as an absolute bare minimum. Playing with fire DD and PL. Would be nothing short of a calamity if Brendan walked.
