BR: “Well, first of all, a big thank you to Ladbrokes and for everyone who nominated me. It’s a reflection of the club as much as it is myself as a manager. To win the league this year was again tough and tougher than last year

BR: "It’s an award for everyone at the club – coaches, staff players and everyone involved – so I received it on behalf of everyone."

BR: “Always going to be difficult to replicate last season. What was key was winning the seventh title and we did that. We played some outstanding football at times. In big games, when we needed to win and had to turn up, the players did that. It’s a huge credit to them."

BR: “I won’t expect wholesale changes but you have sometimes react to what can happen. There are no plans to lose anyone but at this point in time, it’s a case of looking to build. There won’t be drastic changes but what is clear is we want to bring in quality."

BR on @patrick7roberts: “We are going to lose young Pat, who will go back to Man City. He’s had a fantastic two-and-a-half years and he’s been unfortunate this season with injury and whatnot. We will lose some players naturally but we have to keep improving the squad.”

BR on Tommy Burns: “His influence as a player when I was a young guy growing up was huge as I loved him as a player and then getting to meet him as a person later in life, as I was at the beginning of my coaching career was very special."

BR: "We stayed in contact when he left, and his influence is with me right to this very day. So I have a lot to him to be thankful for.”

Agree with this as well mate. Also, too many people are expecting too much. Progress will not be easy to come by. But I also agree that Brendan maybe needs to look at his tactics until we have a team that has the defensive ability to play his way.

The key is more defensive minded players for europe on the pitch and especially away from home ,quick supporting mids ,think our problem has been midfield over committing and not able to chase back ,with teams better at passing ,and defence really exposed, and a horrible knack of conceeding from corners ,and most from heading .

BR: "A game that we are looking forward to. It’s slightly different coming into it this year. Having what the players experienced last year. A little bit more relaxed but focused on our performance. It’s another great opportunity for us."

BR: "The players have been brilliant this season. One of the things they’ve been very good at is that professional attitude and mentality. We know the magnitude of the game. It’s a great chance for us, great opportunity and we’ll prepare now for what'll be a tough game."

BR on Craig Gordon: "He’s fine and trained well. He’s fit and available."

BR: "The players have been absolutely fantastic since I came in, we’ve pushed them all the way every single day in training. I look at them again this morning, they're intent they're focused."

BR: "@MotherwellFC are a big threat. They've got to two finals, it tells you that alone the great job that he [Stephen Robinson] has done. This is a team that test you physically. Always a difficult opponent. We aren't preparing for an easy game."

BR: "To be in with a chance and opportunity to add another chapter to the great story of Celtic. That’s always been my main aim, to make the supporters proud and inspire them."

The manager has also confirmed that Charly Musonda has returned permanently to parent club @ChelseaFC: "He was a joy to work with, a really good boy, wanted to learn and he's now at an age where he needs to play week in, week out, and, unfortunately, I couldn't promise him that."

I know quite a few of our games have been pedestrian this season than last season we where electric in the attack.
But Rodgers there is something quite special about him he knows how to control games we are never flustered even at the back it's pass pass and then when our attack is on it we go for the kill 9/10.

He did it at Liverpool too Sterling/Suarez/Sturridge/Coutinho knows how to improve players especially young players and in transfers he looks for is Athletic/Skill/Pace/Youth and willing to learn.

Definitely a historic achievement for Brendan today. The new season's coming soon, and I hope to see some tactical innovations.

    ONE NEIL LENNON
One of the greatest Celtic managers of all time.

He's already written himself into the history books by only going * unbeaten when winning the Treble last season, but a Double Treble is unprecedented.

If Brendan gets a Treble Treble next season, I might have to reconsider my stance on MON being the best manager of my lifetime.

Even then that'd be tough considering MON took us to a European final which might just edge him ahead of Brendan.

Hopefully we get a good European run next season, and give it a right good go.

I've moaned about some of the pedestrian displays we've witnessed this season but I never doubted the quality of the players or Brendan.

Love you Celtic, love you Brendan.
