What winning an invincible treble in his first year and probably winning a treble in his 2nd year? Your * right he would walk into a Big EPL job. His record at Liverpool and Swansea would be enough to get him a big job down south.
But hes here for 10IAR regardless Rodgers can cross that bridge when he comes to it.

Probably. Seriously Leone you are completing misunderstanding the dynamics of how the EPL views Scottish football ( even in relation to European competition). Rodgers performance up here will not have much of a detrimental affect on his chances of getting a job down there. The clubs down there know what financial constraints he is under at Celtic in Europe and as has been mentioned clubs in the EPL are happy to give jobs to guys that have failed in the EPL all the time.

I think you can’t say there are 3 important games left if you say “semis, final”. If you say both it means the semi isn’t a big game.

if you are saying we will "probably" win a double treble because we just have to beat rangers and aberdeen or motherwell to win the scottish cup then you are basically undermining it as a difficult achievement, and therefore it being factored into being selected for a top job down south surely? tbh i think its more of a case of anything he fails to win here will be factored against him getting a top job down south rather than elevating his credentials(if that makes sense).

If we go on to win the treble, it won’t be on the back of ‘just’ beating ‘Rangers’ and Aberdeen or Motherwell, will it?

Bayern Munich will ‘probably’ win a continental quadruple if they beat five opponents in cup competitions. Would that accomplishment be of little worth?

that isnt what I am saying, more that the suggestion we will probably win the scottish cup, despite aberdeen, rangers and motherwell still being in it, devalues it as being something that will increase his standing or it being a major achievement, by that thinking he should probably have won all domestic trophies anyway.

so either its not really an achievement or its being cocky, as at the same stage it could have been suggested Ronny Diela would probably win a treble in his first season.

and the bayern comparison doesnt quite make sense, if they beat five opponents they wont probably win a quadruple they WILL win one, is anyone saying that will probably happen? bayern winning the champions league would be an immense achievement for them and they arent overwhelming favourites.

talking domestically you kinda prove my point, ancellotti was sacked despite winning a league and 2 supercups in just over 1 season in germany! it kind of suggests domestic domination wasnt proven himself as manager for a team like that rightly or wrongly.

How could winning a double treble up here possibly not have a positive effect on his managerial credentials considering its never been done before?
And I said we will 'probably' win another treble because we have a top top manager who has taken our team to a new level since he came in, it's now expected we win a treble.
He has qualified us for the champions league 2 years in a row and made it past Christmas this year.
This can have nothing but a positive effect on his CV, and in his last job he managed Liverpool and came closer than anyone for 30 years to winning a title with them.
If he had a big job before Celtic and is successful here then it's highly likely that he we will get another when he leaves.

If he wins the double treble he will be the first manager to win the Mcarthur Award. And spend it on another Dembele.

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has reaffirmed that he is in no rush to quit the Parkhead club.

The Hoops boss was linked with a move to Arsenal earlier this month but while Rodgers has maintained that he is flattered by the interest, he has no desire to up sticks with any great haste.

There has been a perennial question mark over the long-term future of Rodgers at Celtic – the 45-year-old signed a four-year deal with club last April – and while he has acknowledged that the time will come from him to move on, he is not angling for the switch back to England.

“There will be a time at Celtic where I’ve done everything I possibly can here,” said Rodgers.

“And between the club and I, we will look at it and see where we’re at. I have to do the best with the resources we have here. That’s not a lack of ambition. That’s me at a club where I have a sense of happiness every day.

“If you’re happy, ultimately that’s all that matters. The money’s irrelevant. You can have “X” amount of pounds in your bank every month but if you’re not happy and you’re not finding peace in what you’re doing, it doesn’t really matter.

“I love the Premier League, the quality of the players, the quality of the coaches. There are great challenges. But there are arms and legs flying off managers down there.

“You can come here and my genuine love is improving people and making them better, helping the club improve and getting the chance to develop and win things and see people improve. Or do you go somewhere where you might have six games? That wouldn’t make me happy. So it’s catch 22.”

And Rodgers has reiterated that there is a level of fulfilment that comes from working at a club with which he has a genuine connection.

“But I’m in a position where I’m in my dream job. As a guy from Northern Ireland who supported Celtic and worked in football, I’m living my dream here. I want to work through until I’m 60 and get to a thousand games and I probably know I won’t do the other 500-odd games here at Celtic.

“I know how quickly it can all change. I nearly won the title at Liverpool and everybody’s saying, “Sign him up”, then very quickly I was out.

“Now I stay calm with it and never be complacent and do the best I can for the club. Winning is winning as a football manager and wherever that is, that feeling doesn’t change.”

From the outside looking in, leading Celtic to domestic success is little more than a jolly.

Certainly, that would be the received wisdom that emanates from the soundbites which routinely come from south of the border.

There is a perception that after eight months out of football following a difficult end to his time at Liverpool that Brendan Rodgers headed to Celtic to heal.

But if delivering a Treble in his inaugural season allowed him to fall back in love with football, it was not without its own stresses and tensions as anyone who has felt the daily expectation of 60,000 supporters will testify.

“Celtic is one of the great clubs of the world,” said Rodgers. “There’s a pressure here that’s different. You have to win every game. There’s not a club in England that has that. You can go to Old Trafford as Liverpool manager and get a draw and it’s not a bad result.

“At Celtic, there’s an expectancy to win home and away. I’ve been 10 years as a manager now and I’ve done a lot of learning. The biggest thing you can have as a football manager is happiness and energy. Sometimes, if you are doing OK, people tend to want to move you. It’s the way it is.”

As Rodgers hones in on delivering his second title in the coming weeks and Celtic’s seventh consecutive championship, it is inevitable that there will be questions asked about his long-term future.

The 45-year-old could well write another chapter into Scottish football history if he succeeds in delivering a back-to-back treble, an unprecedented achievement.

Even still, though, with four qualification rounds required from Celtic as they seek to negotiate their way into the group stages of the lucrative UEFA Champions League it is difficult to ignore the widening chasm that differentiates between the haves and have-nots at that level.

That the bar is perennially raised in Europe is impossible to ignore.

This season Celtic took third spot in their Champions League group and parachuted into a Europa League tie against Zenit St Petersburg. A solid showing in the Glasgow first-leg was offset by a disappointing defeat a week later but Rodgers was keen to highlight the resources behind the two clubs.

“The budgets and the financials are always going to be a major difficulty for us,” said Rodgers. “In the last 12 months, we have spent £7.4million and Zenit have spent £89m.

“The game is also about having good players. That’s always going to be a stumbling block for us here at Celtic. We don’t have the revenue streams for us to get in those types.”

Rodgers also believes that any British based coach still has to work far harder for respect than foreign managers. There has been insinuations that the work which almost led Liverpool to their first title in 24 years came down to the influence of Luis Suarez, something that Rodgers has bristled at.

“People said, “Well, he had Luis Suarez”,’ he remarked. “I thought that was very discourteous, mainly to the rest of the players, because we had created a team and we had one team and it had one brain. Luis was the focal point of it but he will tell you himself that he couldn’t have done that without the adjustments of the others.

“If you equate what was said about me with what might be said about a foreign coach, then as an example Mauricio Pochettino has done a great job at Tottenham but they probably wouldn’t say, “It’s down to Harry Kane”. And it is the same with Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool with the contribution of Mo Salah. But for a British coach, there always has to be a catch.”

Rodgers end to his time at Anfield coincided with a difficult chapter in his personal life. The loss of both parents within a short time of one another and the breakdown of his marriage were played out publicly.

A change in his image was met with derisive claims of a mid-life crisis, with even Joey Barton jumping on the bandwagon when he first hooked up for his ill-fated Rangers stint.

Not that Rodgers peers over his shoulder too much.

“Before I got the Liverpool job, I lost both my parents in quick succession,” he said. “My mum was 53 and died on February 3, 2010. That summer, I got the Swansea job and my dad became ill. In November 2010, he was diagnosed with throat cancer and, less than a year later, he died.

“You really reflect on mortality then in your life. I was looking at myself and thinking, “I don’t want to die this young, I have my own children”. This probably happens to many people. Just because you are a football manager, it doesn’t make you any different.

“Losing them was a tough moment. I was thinking, “Died at 53, died at 59, I don’t want to go down this route. So I’ve got to get healthy. I’ve got to be presentable. I’ve got to change”.

“That’s when I lost three stone. I wanted to get fit and give myself the best chance. I wanted to be around as long as I possibly could for my own children.

“The stuff people said didn’t bother me. You have to laugh. I was going through a divorce and anyone who is going through that will tell you the difficulties of it. I was going through a period of life where I had a look at myself. I had lost my parents. There were things that were happening in my life where I was finding comfort in different ways.

People have a narrative for you. You will either be charismatic or arrogant. You will either have a really good personality or you’re too confident. You smile right or you don’t smile right because you’ve had your teeth done.”

This could be a massive summer for brendan he could effectively have to rebuild a third (possibly half) of the squad whilst juggling 4 qualification rounds for UCL!!!

Boyata - Less than year left on deal
Lustig - Think his Mrs will want to head home
Sinclair - Probably feel he wants a final crack at EPL
Dembele - Will be looking for a move to a bigger league now
Rogic - Less than year left on deal
    Roberts - End of loan
    Edouard - End of loan
Armstong - Less than year left on deal
Simunovic - Think BR might want to cash in
Sviatchenko - Attitude appears stinking he is done
Gamboa - doesnt seem to suit brendan
    Allan - Gash
    Ciftci- Bigger Gash
    De Vries - Total GASH
Bitton - Time to move on.

Could easily all be leaving this summer thats some amount of core players from the squad.

Not that bad considering these players aren’t capable of winning at Pittodrie and Ibrox.
