Mowbray was a plug of a manager , Lennon at least knew how to get his teams fired up and playing for him wich is half the battle in management.

I have a feeling that Lennon will be back when Rodgers eventually leaves. Just feels like he has unfinished business here.

Of course we would all like another top class manager in but Rodgers was really a complete stroke of luck. A quality manager who was looking for a job, and happened to be a Celtic fan. The stars aligned.

So I think it's incredibly unrealistic to expect another manager of that calibre to replace him.

Whilst I think snobbery will come into it and he wouldnt get the job, if he did, I'd seriously consider Steve Clarke, bags of experience and easily the manager of the year if you didnt have us winning another treble ( ;p )

This is Scotland: a treble will be no guarantee of another manager of the year award for Rodgers.

This is my exact opinion. I never thought it possible to get Rodgers, we are pushing the boat out and he is still taking a wage cut from what he can get in England. If anyone expects that we will replace him for a similar calibre then they are in for disappointment.

Yeah even if we do win the treble, I still expect Clarke to get the award.

    Defo mate.

Lennon newly promoted and chasing down a top 2/3/4 finish. And Clarke has worked wonders at Killie, some run they’re on.

Why would Clarke deserve it over Lennon?

I’m not sure how comparable their budgets are, but Hibs are doing a lot better than Kilmarnock and they are the newly promoted side.

Regardless though a manager that wins a treble should win it, anyone else would be taking the biscuit.

True but I just feel the turnaround at Killie has been more impressive than Hibs’ form this season.

Lennon has done a good job and there isn’t a lot between them, but I think Clarke at Killie has been a revelation.

Both doing terrific jobs no doubt. I’d argue the overall standard of the league has improved dramatically of late and they are to be thanked for it.

I'm no saying who should deffo get it yet but Killie have been dreadful for a long time, could barely win a home game and were just a depressing club who almost went out the league barring winning a survival playoff a year or 2 ago..

Hibs most always felt they'd come up and immediately get in the top 6. Bigger budget they must have and bigger club, support.....still winning and getting to cup finals regularly beating top flight side's whilst they were in the lower league..

Lenny has done a top top job with them this year though, no doubt about it..

    Definitely.

If Clarke stays at Killie then I fancy them and Hibs to make up the top 4 with us and the huns.

    Aberdeen are a poor team.

Clarke's a really underrated manager, I was a supporter of him getting the Celtic job as I wasn't fully convinced that Rodgers was a realistic target at the time (glad I was wrong on that). He's done a fantastic job at Killie and he'll certainly get a better job in the near future I feel.

Killie have been gash for * knows how long but now I would genuinely be worried going to their place.

Hibs may be the promoted side on paper but let's be honest their squad was immediately better than most teams in the SPL. Midfield and Defence especially as well you could say.

They were very much a team playing below their level last year. Not surprising to see them where they are.
