Wonder if an angry BR is a cup thrower, boot kicker or a calm talker, would love to have been a fly on the wall yesterday.

He strikes me as the kind of guy who is nice all the time but when he gets angry it's best to take him seriously.

Can imagine him being a loud bollocker with that voice of his.

Honestly think he got it very wrong on Saturday, we were very unlucky with Boyata's injury in particular which sucked the intensity out of our game but we played so well against Hearts I'm not sure the reason for changing things up so much going in to this game. Edouard and Dembele looked to have a decent understanding and linked up really well against Hearts and just as Edouard looks like he might come good, he's benched.

Three at the back really does give me the fear with the centre backs we have at our disposal, I don't see how Gamboa can be a worse option at right back.

Think he's going to get pelters for favouritism, like many managers in the past. Sinclair needs dropped, stick Musonda on that wing and see how he gets on with more time and space. Don't know why he changed formation after the Hearts game, especially with how poor we've been most of the season. Teams know we'll just * about passing sideways and backwards if they crowd us out in the middle of the park.

Badly needing Roberts & Rogic back though.

I don't love him as much of people here do, I obviously don't want him sacked or anything, I just think he has serious limitation that he doesn't even try to address, such as an awful defense that seems to be something tactic, unexplainable grudges against certain players (specially Gamboa), and a nearly defeatist attitude of praising the team whatever that happens.

But he is tactically wise, has a plan and isn't a * donkey in automatic pilot such as Deila. The idea of bringing Sinclair in for Ajer was something that I could have never predicted and definitely had a positive impact in the game for a long time, even if we didn't win. What happened is that, injuries aside, many of our best players such as Tierney had catastrophic games and we played against a SPFL team that isn't coached by a * and matched their game to play against us. Something that BR should actually inspire himself at when playing against the big shots of Europe. Most, almost all other SPFL teams actually, even if they are better than Kilmarnock, wouldn't have found a way of taking advantage of all that happened.

I like Rodgers and I think what he achieved last season should amount to a huge degree of good will. But his attitude to defence and the lack of quality signings in that area is so confusing to me. Livepool fans had the exact same complaints from his time there. I dont know 1% of what Rodgers knows about football but I just dont get why you wouldnt strengthen where we are so obviously weak.

He has dropped Sinclair, though. There's been a couple of times he's been out of the team this year. But it's been hard to drop a guy who still offers a goal threat when he's playing poorly.

And I didn't really mind the poor defence when we were slapping in goals left. right & centre last season. We were fun, we controlled games and we were on the front foot. We started quickly, we wore teams out and we had runners from all angles.

This season there is a lot more passing side-to-side and having to be patient etc. The difference is the tempo is gone from our passing.

Yeah the whole Edouard thing baffled me. Like you said I thought him and Dembele really paired up well and linked brilliantly together, then he is back on the bench. Players who have a good game need that momentum to build on their good form, but a lot of the time they don't get the chance because they are benched. As much as I highly rate Brendan, he * about with the tactics far too much for my liking. I know he has dealt with injuries which has been a * nightmare, but if a guy has an excellent game, * start him in the next game.

That argument cannot be thrown at Rodgers since he HAS strengthened the defence up, bought in two defenders, got rid of one who has a * poor attitude, and beefed up the goalkeeping position when it was required.

We will have to wait and see how good the signings are of course but I dont see either as material improvements on what we have based solely on their respective CVs. At the very least I cant see them progressing us in Europe compared to what we have. If I am proved wrong I will absolutely apologise and eat my proverbial hat, but I was hoping for more than what we have.

Luckily players don’t hand their CV’s to someone and the result of any given match is based on paper.

Compper and Hendry will both be good signings.

Compper could be an invaluable acquisition, just what Hendry and Ajer may need.. CL Qualification should be smoother with him in the defence..

I wish he would go direct when the possession game is not working .
It appears the players are * scared to loose possession and we end up with the backwards and sideways passing .

We're still building, it's clear we haven't gotten the defence the way we want it but it'll get there. Top defenders are incredibly hard to come by with the budget we work with, clubs richer than us are also struggling in that regard. I think we have to have faith that guys like Hendry and Ajer will come good and that Compper will turn out to be a great signing.

We've improved on last season in Europe by getting to the last 32 of the EL and in terms of both seasons we've improved massively on what we achieved in Europe under Deila. Going undefeated for as long as we did was an amazing achievement but it was never gonna last and sometimes defeats like yesterday just sometimes happen when a smaller team absolutely play out of their skin again a top team. Don't think too much should be read into it, we'll bounce back quickly I'm absolutely 100% sure of that.

This is still an exciting time to be a Tim and we're still at the beginning of a very exciting project.

Musonda is here on the promise of game time. He'll be getting crow barred in whether the game suits him or not and at the expense of Edouard (who'll not have the same guarantees).
