Because it's good to see things like that sometimes.

Why? Because the wee man has a learning difficulty? If you had sung it, it wouldn't make the news.

I love wee Jay, just don't think this is newsworthy

Fair enough but I don't see a problem with it.

Because it shows how we are a different class from the others and that's news worthy.
You ever any other team in Scotland show so much love for a disabled kid? Jay Beattie brings out the best in everyone, you clearly see everyone's face light up when they talk to him.

Jay is an ambassador of the charity also that provides for many more disabled kids btw.

    Hail hail wee jay!!

Fair enough but there's hundreds of disabled people, who my mum looks after btw, that love football teams. They sing songs and worship the players.

Maybe it's just because they can't afford to go.

I bet they have all sung birthday wishes to players though.

He has slightly more wrong than just a learning difficulty.

Think the post above is a bit of a riddy, about how it shows we are different class and how no other Scottish club does it. As if he's a tool.

We show our class on the streets of Seville, to the projects in Palestine, via the food banks of Glasgow.

Honestly I'd wish We'd stop broadcasting everything he does to the world or start to wind it down gradually.

I think we've done some tremendous stuff to enrich the life of a young boy but it's time to calm down on it a bit

Could be wrong, but I don't think it's particularly the club that pushes most of the material, but rather the boys father.

Not saying it's monetary, although I'm sure he's sold a few stories, he (the father) probably has social media accounts to run, charity work that benefits having a public figurehead like Jay and these things are just in general nice family videos to look back on.

Yip but it's the club that allows him in the front door to greet the players and BR as they enter.

Now at this point near 3 years after Sammy brought him out of the crowd I see no reason he should be inside the front door when the players come in and there's a 100 or 200 kids behind a railing as they enter having to look on from a distance

It wasn't ment to come across like that mate. Was just trying to stipulate that we are a club like no other.

Like your last paragraph tho :50:

I was way past steaming last night.

I love wee Jay and I hope whatever I said didn't come across as offensive.

I don't think it's offensive mate, I actually feel that whilst the wee man faces hardship in his life cause of his disabilities, there's a lot of other young kids who may also be deserving of those chances to meet the players and and manager and probably never will. We should treat all the young fans equal imo.
I'm sure theres a lot more disabled fans who also never get these opportunities, not saying they'll be * off but would be nice to see more than one fan helped by the club.

Can't stop it now. Imagine your a kid who for years has actually got to meet everyone and feel a proper part of celtic. Then the club say "nah no more beat it back past the railings" probably too kind to say no to him now and break his heart.

We don't have to stop it.

Just allow more disabled or underprivileged kids to experience even some of what he has as well.

Me and my dad discuss this regularly when we see him on the park etc. Wee man is obviously a credit to the club but would be nice if others got the opport unity to experience such things.

Perhaps it's unrealistic to expect that but I dont think it should be.

I've got absolutely nothing against wee Jay but never really understood why he seems to get so much "special treatment" from the club while other young disabled supporters don't.
