Dnipro made it a couple seasons ago to the EL final, no reason why we can't do it again for sure.

Teams take it more seriously nowadays because of what is at stake. I'd love to get there but with our away performances in Europe, you can see why I wouldn't bet on it.

I don't think we have the squad depth, or the midfield to get to a Europa League final. We're also weak in defence and in goals at that level, in my opinion.

Not this season yes, but within a couple years of Brendan's building job hopefully we'll have a squad capable of such a feat. I'm striving for us to make another European final and actually cross the finish line this time like we did in 67 which would make my modern day life.

I do think though a team fully fit and in form consisting of...

    -------------------------Gordon----------------------------

    ---Lustig-------Toure-----------Erik/Jozo-----Tierney-----

    -----------------Brown----------Bitton---------------------

    -----------Roberts-------Rogic-----------Sinclair-----------

    --------------------------Dembele---------------------------

Would be a match for any EL team, particularly at home, away though we need to improve if we're going to achieve a European final ever again. Going forward I think from that team Brendan will be looking at Gordon and Browns position as I think the rest are pretty decent and reliable going ahead, hopefully we can get a permanent deal for Paddy eventually even though it's a long shot.

I think Brendan will only stay for 2 seasons tbh.

Yeah know what you mean with the CL Group Stage spot now available for winning it (Which was a good move by UEFA imo). True away performances must improve which even under Brendan so far have continued to be underwhelming but still very early days in Brendan's reign. I'm convinced though Brendan is the man to finally get that away hoodoo form sorted going forward.

He's been a lot better this season and I've been impressed, however he needs to keep this form up more or less over the whole season for me to remain convinced he should be a pivotal part of our MF going forward under Brendan for many more years. There was a guy on the HB claiming Brendan was making plans to faze out Brown going into next season for a new signing don't know how true that is though.

Hope not, that's no legacy only staying 2 years needs to stay at least 4-5 years to leave a legacy. I think the temptation of being the first Celtic manager to do 10 in a row and also work with the young promising youth player Karamoko may all prove persuading factors in having him remain.

Changes to our CL seeding though going forward is where I worry Brendan may jump ship if it becomes near on impossible to qualify by the corrupt * that is UEFA and FIFA.

Brendan has talked of moving Brown into CB, but for the foreseeable future Imo he'll be starting CM. Been fantastic this season, dominating midfields...

Regarding winning a European trophy or getting to a EL final under Rodgers, don't see it. Serious investment would be needed...

No chance of that imo and would be madness to have Brown play at CB.

Would take some things like that that Brendan says with a pinch of salt at tbh. Last year before Brendan joined us he said the league wasn't very competitive, this season he's been saying the opposite and that it is competitive now he's joined.

Serious investment, or just very clever spending.

Would it though. Personally I think we only need a big * of a midfielder and to stop conceding daft goals, we could make it to a EL final ,we have a manager good enough to guide us there, one of europe's most promising strikers and a defender who played in the EL final last season.

Unfortunately its not in the interest of the Club to persue that level of achievement because everything gets blamed on England. Smaller Clubs have got there and they don't throw out excuses and that is the truth on that matter.

Yes, it is not in the interests of the club to win things. Specifically things that bring in massive volumes of revenue.

    Yes, that makes sense.

So, we dont try and win European competitions so that we can complain about England having more money than us?

A think Rodgers came here with the intention of building a team to win the Europa league or bein first manager to get us into a champions leauge quarter final.just my thoughts he is a pretty confidant and ambitous guy.he will fancy his chances.

Think we might get 3 years with Rodgers at the helm.

I think we definitely could have him for four year.

The EPL is awash with fantastic managers just now - moreso than it has ever been. Good managers are facing the chop, I mean Slaven Bilic is walking on thin ice the now.

I don't think he'll want to get back in amongst that at the moment.

I was going to argue with your point but I'm not sure what it is????

The club don't want European success?? So we can blame England ???

I'm * confused but obviously not nearly as much as you.
