The first goal was clearly a tactical thing I think, Forrest starting deep and running in behind the very high line, the wee fake at the free kick. That's from the training ground.

 

As I said in the match thread, I love the fact that he set us up to have a go tonight. Some managers might have got a fright getting tanked 7-0 in the first game and tried to just keep things tight tonight. Not Brendan. 4-3-3 and go for it, Bhoys. Ballsy.

Of course ten goals conceded in two games is a bit more than a worry. I think we can get away with having a right go at the Germans when they come over but we need to devise some way of being better organised when we go over there. We can't keep conceding goals at this rate and hope to qualify. As much as I'm loving the attacking football, that's just the reality.

 

Aye we've definitely done that before, it was so well worked, the perfect ball from Sinclair and the perfect cross from Forrest, definitely well practiced that was, great piece of football.
