I'm going to put something up soon on this, probably some of you's won't like it.

Another one of those uncomfortable truths. With one disclaimer, at no time have I yet directly and overtly criticised Brendan, why should I ? When we are sitting pretty at the top of the league with two games in hand, in the Champions League, admittedly in a Group of Death :smiley-laughing002: but.

Calm down, lad. You get far too emotionally invested at times. It's PMS behaviour.

I wish people I knew were that sympathetic towards Celtic. At times it seems like people here either really dislike/hate Celtic or love them. There are a few that are in the 'I like to see them do well' bracket but not that many, and they generally only seem to pop up when we are doing well in Europe or playing the Huns.

What gives you the impression about Rodgers though?

I've met a few that dislike Celtic intensely and it really bothers me.

Just a hunch, mate. Think he plays it up a bit as he knows it will endear him. He's a clever guy. I still * love him, by the way.

Don't know where you've got that idea about Big Jock. In the 50s he played for us, was Vice Captain to Sean Fallon, which was where they built their relationship, then Captain, then Coach to Youth where the core of the Lisbon Lions were playing, left and went into Management, came back to us, but before he did arranged for Bertie to come back from Birmingham and the rest is legendary.......so probably not a fan ????

Brendan has done well getting us in the Champions League Group Stages, especially after two and arguably three failures by Ronny at the CL.

He has got off to a very good start in the SPL with us top of the league and the 5-1 romp against Rangers.

Still the reality check has come with the 7-0 cuffing by Barcelona, an unwelcome European record defeat for us, not even Ronny suffered that ignominy, and it was clearly embarrassing, even our captain Scott Brown said it was embarrassing, most of the posters on here said it was embarrassing I think, yet Brendan is still in self denial saying it was not embarrassing.

I think he has to be honest with himself and come to terms with it, before he can move on.Some of the decisions he made on the Barcelona game were bizarre, especially his team selection. Brendan used to get heavily criticised by Liverpool fans for his decisions in European games.

When I said this was a critical stage for Brendan it is. He can either rebuild his reputation by salvaging third place in this admittedly very tough group, or alternatively take some more humiliating batterings and emerge like a punch drunk Celtic manager.

I think his reputation down South has taken a dent with that 7-0 defeat, and it will be interesting to see how he copes with the remaining pressures and demands of this very tough group still to come.

Done well getting us to the group's? I'd say he did excellently given the circumstances..

Perfection in the league, in what is supposed to be our toughest fixtures and start to date..

Aye, Ronny never suffered one because he couldn't get over the line, and instead embarrassed us in the Europa group's..

How's it denial. You expecting him to slate the player's he's no long walked in the door to manage and try to change a whole weak minded attitude that's been hanging over us from the Ronny era, you remember that, don't you? You never shut up about it..

Did he no actually admit he was trying 5 at the back and that he thought it might work as Barca weren't used to it? It failed, tough *. Did you see Barca earlier?

Stop using the word critical ya *. It's anything but critical. 30 mill plus banked, the league already looking over. Aye it's critical alright :56:

His career is fine, as he knows himself, given the amount of Epl side's that have courted him since Liverpool and his respect from those in football, particularly great player's he's worked with..

This will all fall on deaf ears, but give it a rest, I'm no buying it..
