We need another striker or we will be struggling for goals in the Groups this season, unless Dembele can really ramp it up and step up in the coming weeks.

 

Have we not been in the Champions league competition for the last 6 games with 6 more to come at least? Griffiths already has 5 and Dembele 2. They can only get even better technically through time and experience...

But I like every other Celtic fan will be paying decent money to watch us try and make a fist of this CL Group we're about to get. We're not here as far as I'm concerned to make up the numbers.

I am not paying my money expecting to watch Griffiths be out of his depth and struggle against these sort of calibre opponents. I've seen enough of that with him up against EL opponents never mind CL over last couple years. That's cheating the fans as far as I'm concerned and showing a lack of ambition.

Let Griffiths get on with the domestic stuff where is more than capable, but let's at least get some excitement again at Celtic with Brendan making a statement by signing a much more decent all round goal scoring striker within the next week as we now have the funds to do so.

 

Fact of the matter is Griffiths is the #1 striker for a team playing in this seasons Champions league, he was a catalyst for that team reaching that stage. He deserves the chance to spearhead our attack and will be given that chance... if he starts netting more goals his worth will start approaching the 10m figure or beyond... I know for a fact the board would not even entertain bids of 7-8m at this stage... he is that highly rated.

Back the bhoy to score in the group stage and we may have a real commodity on our hands... in Griffiths I trust

You can't say that with certainty at all.

Any number of things could happen, injury, loss of form or, like I think will happen. Brendan has another striker transfer up his sleeve and it's going to be a goody.

 

Don't see how I'm bashing him when I'm saying he's a great domestic striker to have but whatever if that's the way you're seeing it.
