Bit of a random one here but has anyone had a gander at Brendan Rodgers Wikipedia, did a Hun write it or something? All it's got for his time at Celtic is:

    "Celtic

Rodgers was appointed manager of Scottish Premiership champions Celtic on a 12-month rolling contract on 20 May 2016, following the exit of Ronny Deila. On 12 July, in his first competitive game in charge, Celtic lost 1–0 away to Gibraltar's Lincoln Red Imps in the first leg of their second qualifying round of the 2016–17 UEFA Champions League. He said of the surprise result "There is obvious disappointment. There is no embarrassment."

Pretty sure we've done a * of alot more than that under him...

His page is also locked so anything that's on it has actually been passed by official Wikipedia people and can't be edited by any random dafty.

I just want to know what was said to pee of DD at the end of that semi final :smiley-laughing002: It certainly galvanised him :icon_mrgreen: Be a bit ironic if the Sevco board members were to become responsible for 10 years of Celtic domination :smiley-laughing002:

That very narrow, penalties defeat was probably the best thing that happened to us over the past couple of years. They couldn't even go on and win the cup anyway!

    Todays press conference:

    https://vimeo.com/179452995

BR on Scott Brown's Scotland retirement: "It’s the right decision for him.

BR: "Very difficult decision for him as he’s a passionate man about his country.

BR: "Very close with Gordon Strachan and a really tough decision.

BR: "Right move. He's into the final chapter of his career and he’ll want to give those best times to Celtic.

BR: "When you play 60-70 games a season you need to look after your body.

BR: "He’s been a wonderful footballer for Scotland, 50 caps, lots of players who do that have good careers.

BR: "It’s sad when it comes to an end but it’s good news for Celtic supporters as it means he can be physically and mentally right.

BR: "He’s entering really good years and will still be able to play but there comes a time where it can take a toll on your body.

BR: "There comes a point that you’ve got to look at it and think; one team has to benefit here, rather than two teams suffering.

BR on weekend game v @St_Johnstone_FC : "I don’t know Tommy Wright that well but we’ve spoken a number of times on the phone.

BR: "I think he’s done very well and I don’t think he gets the credit. I always look at fellow countrymen who are managers.

BR: "He’s done a great job. He’s a very good manager and has them very well organised.

BR: "They’re very hard to break down and on a good run of form at the start of the season.

BR: "Difficult to beat and we expect a tough game. He’ll have his team ready to work.

    :50: as ever.
Sounds to me that they've told Brendan he can get his man, and the process has started. He seemed pretty confident in that video.

remember people were saying before rodgers came in that brendan is a manager who needs money to spend.brendans first two seasons at liverpool he hardly spent a penny,a lot of liverpool fans were complaining he wasnt spending enough, that season they nearly one the league the liverpool team was threadbare, with the likes of victor moses as backup and he still didnt panic and spend anything that janaury.the signings of coutinho and sturridge ten million each are some of the best bargains in recent prem history.brendan was forced to spend if you will with a combination of losing all his key players, sturridge n flanagan longterm injuries,f an pressure to replace those key players and some * transfer committe.

Thats true, I asked a mate of mine who supports Liverpool what he thought of Rodgers' subs when at Liverpool, and how they impacted games. He said that he pretty much didnt have the squad to really make subs that would influence a game. Bit of a contrast to here where they have had an impact in pretty much every game hes been in charge.
