All we need now is a good solid midfielder, if Rogic signs a new contract as well we're in great shape :celt_2:

I find it interesting that he says he's been impressed with the players' fitness levels, willingness to learn and attitude in training. I think Deila deserves some credit for preparing the ground there. That's a lot of battles that Rodgers will not have to refight.

It's equally interesting that he highlights having to improve their mental strength in games.

    Deila's 2 years summed up?

Another 3 will be brought in. CM, GK, ST. This is what you get with a world class manager, a higher quality of player...:50:

Not really, they are professional footballers they should have an already excellent base line fitness levels.

Should Lennon not get the credit for what Deila took over?

If I'm honest RD deserves the square root of * all, he was a terrible manager and should have never have been in the running to manage us (yes not his fault) but still.

To be fair Deila came in and completely changed the players diets and focus on fitness which hadn't been there so much under Lennon. Think in that respect he laid the ground work for Rodgers to come in and improve on that even more.

and then proceeded to play worse, we played in games and looked done by 70 mins and put in some of the most lethargic performances ever seen.

He's poor, definitely not good enough to be a replacement if Griff or Dembele are injured. Hopefully we're targeting Bamford, will be that step up in quality we need

Yeah but he pretty much took one for the team, I don't think he ever recovered from the resistance put up by some of the players and he weeded out the lazy * so Brendan doesn't have to. I think Rodgers has got a fairly decent fairly professional bunch to take on from Deila.

    Unreal how this: http://www.celticfc.net/team (Today)
Looks so much better than 6 months ago. Still need to get rid of a few midfielders 3 maybe 4, bringing 2 of the same class as Brendan brought in so far. He has done superb so far our Brendan in 10 weeks? I am trying with all my soul to imagine how good that page will be in a year, without having a 'Wet dream', while awake...

Deila would've never won that game after 1-1, Rodgers worth the money so far

I was one of Deila's biggest backers, but today showed me how tactically clueless and useless he was.

I was wrong, and now Brendan is showing me what it is to be THE Celtic manager.

    * love this man.......fitba, PROPER FITBA is back at the club.

    Yeehaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!
