I'm worried he's going to continue with these 'double training' programs. We've looked a bit leggy recently, and if anything modern day footballers train too much rather than too little. Ranieri proved with Leicester last season that it's best to save the real work for out on the pitch, adopting a more relaxed approach off the field.

Saying that, could be just something Brendan is doing as it's pre-season. Time will tell. Fitness is definitely an area we could significantly improve.

Wouldn't worry about the double sessions a lot of what he will be doing is philosophy and his ideas being put forward how he wants them to press and play as a unit, it is very early days am I'm sure Brendan will bring good things here as long as he gets backed a little at least because there is some dead wood in this side that needs replaced.

Did you catch the game yesterday at all?

Different formations and personnel and we looked 100x better. 1st half was excellent.

Let's not judge him on that one game eh :ynwacelti

Aye he's a *. 3 weeks he's had to assess the squad. You would think he would have sussed it out by now...

To be fair, the jury is still out in my opinion.

He deserves time to assess the squad and see what's what, but I do have to admit that some of his decisions have been somewhat baffling, such as leaving out Roberts and playing our goalscoring machine anywhere other than through the middle.

This is a season of transition though, so time will tell.

Yeah just like his beauty about the games coming thick and fast, and maybe the ' disappointing ' result was because we were still really in preseason. Yeah, that might be it, oh wait so are Lincoln Red Imps. Doesn't seem to like the embarrassing word, but that's another from crazyhorse.

I quite like the word embarrassing, for example, 'your post is embarrassing.'

CELTIC manager Brendan Rodgers left Paradise tonight (Wednesday) with a sense of satisfaction after watching his team’s 3-0 win over Lincoln Red Imps.
Trailing 1-0 from the first leg of their UEFA Champions League qualifier, Celtic went to work on turning that aggregate score around from the first whistle and levelled the tie through Mikael Lustig’s fine finish on 23 minutes.
A 20-yard effort from Leigh Griffiths and a wonderfully-worked and exquisitely-taken strike from Patrick Roberts put the result out of sight before the half-hour mark and the manager said he was pleased to see his side qualify for the next round.
“That was the objective coming into tonight,” he said. “I was very pleased with the first 30 minutes. I thought the intensity was outstanding in the team, our pressing and ability to force mistakes and then get goals.
“I thought the crowd were incredible. A near full house for a game like tonight was incredible and the players really felt that support. So overall we’re pleased to get through.
“It certainly wasn’t perfect - there’s a way to go for us in terms of where I want us to be, but I’m delighted with the attitude of the players and how they took the game from kick-off.
“We scored three and their goalkeeper probably stopped it maybe being double figures but we’re through and that’s the most important thing. We’re only four weeks into pre-season so I wouldn’t expect us to be anywhere near top gear, but I think there was some fluency and structural things within the team that was very pleasing."
The match saw Celtic adopt a 3-5-2 formation to counteract Lincoln’s packed backline and defensive set-up, and the new-look system posed a number of challenges for the team.
Kieran Tierney, who played despite suffering from tonsilitis, operated in a left centre-half role, with Mikael Lustig on the right, while Erik Sviatchenko was tasked with patrolling the middle of the defence on his own, and the manager said he was pleased with how his players adapted to the new system.
The Hoops now face a trip to Kazakhstan to take on FC Astana in the third qualifying round, which will prove to be a testing journey, both physically and mentally, for the Scottish champions.
With every day, however, the manager added that he sees improvement in his squad and revealed that he hopes to add a few new faces to his team before heading on the six-hour trip to the Kazakh capital next week.
"A lot of players have played their first 90 minutes of the season so far," he said, "but we look forward to the trip next week which, again, is another difficult tie on a plastic pitch but we’ll be ready for it.
“There’s no doubt we need one or two more that I want to bring in so let’s hope we can do something before that (Champions League transfer window) closes. That would be the plan and it would be a great boost to the squad.”

Still can't believe he's our manager. Big thanks to the board, that first half performance was out of this world.
