Erik, Griff, Tierney, Lustig I guess and I suppose Dembele

If any of the others moved on, I can't honestly say I would be that bothered

Major clearout needed, that's not going to happen, more of the same beckons

    Where to start tonight?

This isn't me attacking the guy or even level any real criticism his way, I think he got a lot of things wrong today but at the same time it really should be irrelevant, the gap in ability between our millionaire players and part time cops/teachers/plumbers should always be enough to see us through.

Could probably talk for ages about what went wrong tonight, from Griiffiths being out wide, to the setup, to Ambrose being in the squad to Roberts not playing, all poor decisions imo. That's fine though, as long as he's a guy that learns from this and doesn't take the Deila approach of believing in his own infallibility and persisting with this approach.

Personally I would love to see us go back to basics and be more pragmatic. Play a 442 and get used to winning again before we try and impose our own style on the game.

Could turn out to be a good thing tonight as I fear this thick * actually trusted those players.

If he doesn't learn from this, then heaven help us with this guy at the helm.

The problem with Brendan Rodgers so far is that he picked the formation before the squad, meaning we're playing a system totally dissimilar to what the players are used to with players like Griffiths out on the wing when last season he's bagging over 40 goals in the centre. Dembele definitely offers something Griffiths can't in the form of height and strength but doesn't seem to have the unteachable knack for being in the right place at the right time, as well as the movement in and around the box to get away from defenders. I'd like to see both of them upfront next game with Roberts in behind, that's a front three which suits our team whilst being a genuine threat.

If he puts Ambrose in the team next game I think I will lose a bit of faith in him, as he quite simply just lacks the basic skills required to be a defender, but the entire blame cannot be put on Efe as we shouldn't be goalless against a team from * Gibraltar.

Rodgers was terrible tonight with everything we basically played the exact same formation as last year. He moved our 40 goal striker wide right, he dropped our most on form player in Roberts he starts ambrose. And the subs were terrible.

He has used this pre-season & this game to see who is good enough & who isnt he's probably had a wee shock to see how bad half our squad is they probably trained well in slovenia & he gave them a chance & now he knows players like Ambrose, Forrest, Brown, Bitton, Cifti, Lustig( I know he didnt play but his time is up) & Johansen we need a fresh squad & I trust he now knows this Im not panicking he's a top manager who knows what he wants for his team

At least he will be demanding cash to actually try make a football team.

He can only take a small percentage of the blame tonight.

    * the bed tonight. Barely got a thing right.

Janko starting ahead of Lustig = wrong decision.
Efe Ambrose still being part of the squad, never mind starting = shocking.
Griffiths on the wing = we know he's not a * winger.
Roberts not starting, not even brought on = utterly baffling.

    * off with him tonight. It's clear as day to anyone who has seen some of our performances last season that Roberts is perhaps the most naturally gifted player in our squad, yet he's barely had a look in over pre-season and today.

    Worrying.

Sort it the * out. How anyone in his position can let Ambrose and Forrest near our team is shambolic. We've all been saying it for * months, a left winger and a centre half are absolute musts. You can add a centre midfielder to that also. Absolutely criminal. Business should have been done weeks ago, the board need to learn from previous mistakes. Shambles.

To be fair to the manager he needs to learn his players,i dont have a problem with who he plays just now...he needs to see things with his own eyes.
But the players.....* *....out played by polis and plumbers....have they no pride.

I only hope it is a blessing in disguise.

He has to realise now that these players cannot be trusted.
