There's always a chance but the way Braga countered us at times tonight makes me think they'll have one gameplan at Celtic Park and that's to score which would mean 5 goals required for us to go through.. The first goal for us and it's definately game on though..

if they didnt pay anything why not try to get another lb? that was the weakest part of celtic today to be honest.

why is everyone always so negative!!!
it is the first time that those players have played together
an early goal next week and u never know
and even if we do go out then we go into europa league and hopefully into the group stage and maybe go on a run
i believe that the final is at the aviva stadium in dublin this year
    that would be fun

Hey guys, this is pretty much my first post on the forum and disappointed its under these circumstances. Never got to see any streaming on internet and i'll be avoiding the highlights now i think. i've read the posts so far and refusing to get too bitter that we couldnt salvage any pride on lennons first competitive game as manager. just a couple of questions though if anyone can clarify:

    1. was formation 4-2-3-1?
    2. who played as holding midfielders?
    3. ANY positives whatsoever from debut bhoys?
    4. considering all factors 2nite, is there any optimism for a comeback in 2nd leg (eg bratislava)

    Cheers!

To be perfectly frank I'm sick of this as well................

Not because we lost, rather peoples expectations. We all wanted new faces in, nobody has really complained about us signing players. Yet we expect them to gel together instantly and deliver away from home???

Earlier a fellow forum member said they'd be happy with a 2-1 defeat as this team didn't look easy. What happened to that spirit? That is we were up against it somewhat?

How many games have this team played together? Then they are expected to go into a CL game and perform. Please give them a bit of slack! If we were 3-4 games into the season, which if I'm honest matters more for Lennon's 1st season and producing results like that, I'd be annoyed, as it is,

    TAKE IT ON THE CHIN!

This type of game came too soon for a group of players who hardly know each others names. The priorety is still the league, keep the faith and hopefully every thing will work out.

Can someone tell that * Brown that eyeballing other players does'nt make him hard.

I don't really want to give him the benefit of the doubt but I reckon he either saw it late or was expecting it to dip and his left hand was down , as was his stance which is the reason he never saved it.. He was standing 6 feet+ and would have had to move about a foot across his line to get his left arm to it so I can only think he'd moved too far and totally misjudged where the ball was and could only go for it with his right..

In fact , you can see a gif of that goal here.. Link
Zaluska crouches down to get a view of where the ball is coming from.. Caught off guard by the looks of it..

Didn't see the game, but kinda expected that sort of result. Any decent result in europe would have been a bonus, but the league has to be our priority. If we don't win that this season we are * big time.

Didnt get to see this match as was working. And judging by scoreline dont think ill be catching any highlights either haha.

So quick question where Cetic terrible tonight or was it just Braga where too good for us. As for the return leg, i think we can do a number on them, as long as Celtic grab the first goal and crowd get behind the team might just spur the players on.

Also a not to remeber when GS manged Celtic for the first time in Europe Celtic lost 5-0 in first leg but manged to win 4-0 in return leg. But if we can manage to perfom like we did in that return leg we just may see another great European night at CP

We can't and don't look like scoring no goals from open play in preseason and tonight not good enough
